So, do you have a vacation planned?  If so, where?  And when you get there, what fun stuff are you going to do?

We're headed to Puerto Rico in August ... I need ideas (besides naps, the beach, and lots of yummy food).  And yes, ANB is going too, so baby friendly is important.

I am jealous! No vacay planned yet but H and I have talked about Bahamas or Jamaica for our anniversary in September. We shall see! I really want to go to the Maldives! Some day!

Going to the Jersey Shore in July for a weekend with my in laws. Looking forward to spending time on beach and walking Boardwalk.. Not looking forward to packing up the entire house for one week. Haha. But it should be fun my SIL has 3 kids (7, 6, and 3) so that'll be fun.

We are driving to outer banks, NC next week. We do this trip every year with friends.

We flew to punta cana with DS1 last year. americanninjamommy we spent all our time relaxing at the pool or beach. I would try to keep meals simple - not sure if you are going to an AI? If not, consider doing take in some nights to allow down time and some relaxed meals. Be sure to allow for at least one nice long quiet nap. Maybe your LO will sleep on the beach - if so get a tent and you are set

I was going to start this yesterday and forgot! Great minds!
We have lots of little trips/events.
This weekend, I'm going to exotic Omaha for my brother's graduation. We're eating at a really hip restaurant called Birch & Fig I think.
The first weekend in June, we're going to the church camp out, but I just can't figure out how to economically not-camp with DS, so it will be a day trip. Camping with DS is out of the question this year.
In mid-June, my BFF is graduating from residency and the ceremony is at the zoo!
The last weekend in June, we are going to a car show in Pueblo, CO. My parents have a hot rod, and this car show is how I spent every summer vacation as a kid. I'm really excited to take DH and DS. Pueblo is nothing special, but we'll pass through Colorado Springs, and we might stop at the North Pole and some other touristy places.

We are boring homebodes. Eventually I think we will do some family vacations. We are also farmers (cows) so timing and livestock care can be tricky to make plans around.

We are going to Keuka Lake the last week of June/First week of July. We always go up there for a week because it's beautiful and the wine is pretty great now.

MH is talking about Oz in the fall... We have lots of friends there but it's such a long trip with the babe.

And August 9th we'll go away somewhere. We did Cape May last year and it was great. Might do that again.

americanninjamommy You could do the Castillo de Cristobal (?? I think that's the one). It's interesting anyway. Has some good views of old san juan.
You'll probably spend an entire day walking around Old San Juan. Take a taxi you do not want to get in the wrong neighborhoods between where you're staying and old San Juan. It's pretty rough!!

You could also go to the rain forest, el yunque.

It's crowded as shit but it's something you should at least see! If you have a car you should also go to the beach that's by the rain forest. the city is Luquillo. it's really quiet and there's a point where the ocean meets the sand and you can walk 50 feet out into the surf, it's pretty cool.
You could also go closer to the airport, condado is where we used to live. That's a high tourist area there's a ton of casinos if you're into that but condado beach is over there and it's a HUGE tourist beach.

The water is really calm in the summer, like a swimming pool.

This all sounds awesome but, we have nothing planned at the moment. I want to buy my daughter a bathtub for our bathroom first. Plus I'm in the negative as far as time off at work. I want to save up for Europe though.
A lot of times I jump in on DH's trips and that's like a little vacation that I don't have to pay for. It kind of kicks ass. There isn't one coming up at this time that I'm planning on going though.

mrsbabe614, Thanks, lady! I think we're staying near the casino area but will have a rental car, so I def want to go to the quieter beaches and the rain forest. I saw the picture with the cave too - that looks really cool!!

We're headed to Colorado next week to visit my grandma. We may do some fun things with dd like the North Pole, garden of the gods, and the zoo but will otherwise be hanging out with grandma which usually entails lunch out and puzzles.

All of the beach vacations sounds amazing. It's our 5 year anniversary in June. We always talked about going back to playa del Carmen (where we honeymooned) for it - but it won't be in the cards right now. We have started talking about a Northern California trip for next year though.

We have a trip planned to Disney World in July. My parents will be coming with us too so it will be nice to have the extra help. I'm so excited.

That's cueva ventana. You might not want to go with baby D. PR has NO RULES you go down into this cave with a flashlight and bats squealing above your head in the pitch black. you eventually come out the other side to the hole in the wall that is a sudden drop into a valley. I have a fear of heights so when DH was on the ledge I was dying inside.

Yeah.  That won't be happening then.  I don't have a fear of heights, but I get dizzy and lose my balance easy, so being on a cliff edge is no bueno.

We are planning Disney/Universal for July, three days/ three parks with MIL and SIL then August we are doing Florida West Coast, beach, sun and sand! September will be Panama for my grandma's 80th birthday.

Dang I missed this thread but we are heading to Disneyland tomorrow! We are meeting up with my mom, dad, brother, SIL and niece (3 years old). Besides the parks I am soooo excited to hit up some of my favorite food places. I plan vacations around food basically.

It's not booked yet, but we're going to Myrtle Beach in Sept. My best friend moved to SC in Feb '14 and we haven't been able to visit her yet, so I'm super excited!
