I need haaaalp. I am sure step 1 is to calm down. ?
Anyway. My L is almost 9mo. and is EBF (pumped bottles at DC) He has FPIES so we are a little behind with solids, but he recently started asking for more solids. At about the same time, he stopped finishing his BM bottles. Since he started DC at 12w, he drank 4 6oz bottles (btw 8-4). This week, he has been drinking 4 5oz bottles.
I have been able to meet his needs (24oz per day) in 3 pumping sessions. Today, I was able to meet the new need of 20oz in 2 sessions. I'm really nervous about going to only 2, but it would also be awesome. He has also stopped wanting to nurse when we get home (previously nursed at 6 and 8, now only 8).
I would really appreciate advice/experience! I intend to keep nursing beyond 1 year, mostly because he cannot have CM, soy or nut milks. TIA BF experts!

Holy moly that's a lot of milk to drink in eight hours. This is an appropriate age to start dropping a session if you want, I think. But he's drinking twice as much milk as I would think was the upper end of reasonable.
He's still gaining well, at 22lbs ish. He was over 10 at birth and at our first LC appt at old he was nursing over 4oz in one feeding. He likes the milk. I've never left him for more than the 8 hours so I have no idea how much he eats in 24h. He does STTN and has since 7w, so perhaps adds to the daytime ounces.
Re: pumping, should I expect a drop in supply if I go to 2 sessions instead of 3?
That is a hungry baby! Mine just backed off from 4 or 5 4oz bottles to pretty consistently 4 3.5 oz bottles. I can tell that the BM I pump is much fattier now than it used to be, so I assume she's covered calorie wise. I also just backed off from 3 to 2 pumping sessions, and it hasn't I packed the total oz/day. I do intend to quit pumping at a year though, so that may change the game a bit.

ksulli thanks! good to know that pumping from 3 --> 2 sessions hasn't changed much!
