anotherdreamer, holy moly! almost halfway??! that's amazing!
honeybee, I would have voted for Anabelle. I think the 2 n's do look a little long in the name. I'm excited for you to be going for a VBAC! Not that either way is better, but it's good to have options and doctors willing to support you in your decisions.
I brought a lot less the 2nd time. Clothes, flip flops for shower, toiletries, a few snacks, magazines/book, phone chargers, my Breast Friend pillow, baby clothes, car seat, insurance cards just in case, DHs clothes and toiletries. I'm not sure if I brought my own pillow or not the second time. My parents were staying with DS1 so I knew if I forgot anything, they could bring it when they came to visit with him, or DH could go home or to the store. I think I mostly just asked them to bring food. lol
I had comfy clothes, slippers, a light robe (so much nicer to be in than the hospital gown), toiletries, kindle, phone, chargers, and baby outfit. Pretty sure that covers it.
honeybee434 you can do it! The end is rough especially with a toddler to take care of. I def brought less to the hospital this last time because I barely used anything I brought with DS. Slippers, comfy shorts/pants/tee shirt. Deodorant, toothbrush tooth paste. Camera. Nursing pillow. Two outfits for baby. Phone charger.

Camera! Good call. I definitely brought my good one. I wasn't impressed with the newborn photos the hospital person took of DS so I brought my own to take pictures I would like.

Exactly this. I pretty much lived in the comfy pajamas and yoga pants. And i brought some cheap undies so i could put the mega pads in them instead of the mesh things on day 2.
honeybee434, at least you're packing! I thought it would be silly for me to pack anything since my body just does not go into labor and I'd end up having an induction. I was induced with Cy, BUT we had to go straight to the birthing center after a routine exam (at 41 weeks) so I had to rely on DH to grab everything I needed. That was stressful. I don't have anything to add, just bring the basics.

Liv Well, I'm hoping to get them semi packed tonight. I have a fear of being rushed, too, and that I'll have to have my SIL navigate my closet without me here which is a MESS and I would be so embarrassed. Lol
I also keep forgetting I need to go to Motherhood and get new nursing things. Poor second kid really does get everything out off!
Did we all do our hair/make up before going in for the second kid, or was that just first kid stuff? LOL
I did mine for the second and not the first...
I never have, but I hardly ever wear makeup. And I had c-sections. After labor with DS I was a sweaty mess, after the girls I wasn't too bad but with how itchy my face was from the pain meds it was just as well I wasn't done up lol.
I did my hair, because I figured they'd send me to get induced at 41 weeks after my appointment. I was also on day 5 of a very long weekend, so I showered and did hair AFTER I had walked 20k steps trying to get her out!

I did mine before going in with DS. I wanted to shower to try and labor at home as long as I could. I did my hair just so I didn't have to worry about it for awhile. I plan to do the same, although this time my hair is much longer and I can throw it up easier to get it out of my way.
When my water broke I showered and French braided my hair. That way it was curly and looked decent still the next day when I took the braids down. I think I put eye liner on because my water broke at 5:45am and I looked like death.

I know I showered before I went in for my induction. This time I'm contemplating a mani/pedi around a week before I'm due. That way even if everything else looks terrible, my nails will look great!
Hell naw. But I labored through the night and still wasn't fully convince I was in labor due to the answers I was getting from the birthing center. I got to the hospital at 6a/5cm and was to 9cm in 1 hour- when they said they were calling the doc and I asked if I was going go have the baby before lunch and the nurse answered 'honey, you're going to have a baby before breakfast' is when reality hit me. I heard so many stories of being sent home, I figured there was no way I nailed it on the first try! 😂
I still don't really feel pregnant, I mean I have RLPs and the nausea has passed, I feel nudges occasionally, but I still don't *feel* like I'm pregnant which doesn't make sense but eh. I'm 18 weeks today, had an OB appt today and scheduled my anatomy scan for the 16th. We were team green last time but we're planning on finding out this time.
Good luck on the a/s! Mine is Monday (team green). Nausea is finally gone there, too. Still not feeling anything definite in the movement dept and I swear I had by this point with DD. Trying not to overthink it, but definitely can't wait for Monday to relax the rest of the way to December. Heehee

Cdnfroggy, first one I didn't know I was in labor. Went in to get checked and was sent to the hospital, so no time there. 2nd was a scheduled (1 day before) c-section so I made time to do hair and makeup before going in.
