@joybaby5 I would assume the jeggings have more stretch therefore would be more comfortable. I have one pair of skinny jeans that don't have any stretch to them and they are the devil!
@disneypeanut aw, that makes me sad! You are so sweet for wanting to spend that play time with her. I feel like kids can be so about routine that they can react negatively to any surprise, even when it is a good one.
I had spent the whole day out of the house hoping the dirty dishes and stack of laundry would have taken care of themselves while I was gone. Nope. Still there. Rude.
I would like to do some freezer/crockpot cooking one day. I meant to do it when I was pregnant, and never got around to it. I would ideally split the cost (& work) with someone else, though... and I don't really have any local friends. I have a whole board on Pinterest dedicated to this... and I haven't used a single one of them yet! I mentioned it once to my SIL, but she 'can't afford to do that'. (There's a reason that's in quotes, but I won't go there.)
Do it!
I did ten recipes doubled. I have saved so much on my groceries this month because all meals were perfectly planned to use common ingredients and I didn't waste anything. Not to mention I haven't gone to the grocery store a bazillion times. I personally like doing it myself because I am a control freak and don't like to share!

I am pretty good about meal planning, which is helpful. I only grocery shop once a week. I live too far out of town (about 30 minutes) to shop much more often than that! I guess my biggest issue with doing it myself is that I would have to do it during one of the few days DH and I are both home, so he could keep an eye on DD (the little trouble maker that she is). Usually when he 'keeps an eye on her', he watches her try to climb my legs, or watches her follow me everywhere. Sometimes he's good, but whenever I am actually trying to accomplish something, if I am home, forget it.
Oh, I forgot to ask. I don't have to hand wash sippies, do I?
I do. But, I hand wash everything, because I apparently live in the stone age and don't own a dishwasher (and never in my life have I owned one--FFTC: they kind of scare/intimidate me!)
I suppose that means I'm old... and exactly like my mother. They rented a house once (in the last few years) that had a dishwasher. My mom would wash dishes by hand, and use the dishwasher as a large drying rack.

jackiep1023 - I meal plan and shop once a week as well. But sometimes I am better than others. I have been in a slump lately. For me, this was still way better. My family was super uncooperative when I did this and it wasn't fun, but it still beat the daily chaos! I would recommend doing prep the night before (which I did not do). I also think next time I might hire the girl down the street to help me with DD1 & DD2.
I've read all the threads!!! And I looked at Facebook where laur posted fabulous genie pants onto my timeline.
You'll all be happy to hear I ordered 2 pairs last night. It's like...soft pants you're SUPPOSED to wear in public. I am so stinking excited.
Um. How to say this delicately. Ok. Here goes nothing.
If you even so much as think about wearing those things to our next gtg, well, I don't even want to know you.
Lolollol. You just watch, I will be a trend setting phenomenon! I am going to rock the shit out of some genie pants. Actually my new goal is to take selfies every time I wear them, and send it to you.
I haven't been able to read through yet, because crazy busy day at work, but I wanted to get more advice if anyone has any to offer regarding the pay situation I posted about this morning.
I talked to my boss, and not giving me the raise was not an oversight. She said she wants me to get more training and that I need to factor in the fact that I get free childcare. Which is great, but that was agreed upon with my starting salary. I'm working my ass off, way more hours and a hell of a lot more responsibility. I don't know what to do. I do love it there, but she is going back on her word. I also love I'm there with LO all day and will have a hard time finding a similar position..

Did you ask why she told you that you were getting a raise? And then why she went back on it? Can you put in writing how many more hours and responsibilities you have? Does she have a boss you can speak with?

I did ask her. She said it was factoring in me having additional training, and free childcare. She didn't tell me that. And I told her I wasn't aware or told of those conditions. She swears she mentioned them and ia refusing to budge on it. Unfortunately, she's the owner so there's no one else to go to. I'm thinking of writing an email to her (since I now know all further communication with her needs to be in writing) and telling her how much I love working there and want to stay but will only be doing what I was originally hired to do if pay will be the same. Then I will work on thw training she wants me to do in that position and will take back on the responsibility if she still needs me when that is completed. Im just nervous to do it for fear it will effect my position completely.
