The Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffman. I am really enjoying it. I have been really in a funk lately so I haven't read much but it isn't the books fault this time.
The House at Riverton by Kate Morton. I am really enjoying this book. It is put on the back burner so I will finish the first book but I can't wait to pick it back up full force
I have several other books on hold at the library including Landline by Rainbow Rowell and Somewhere in France by Jennifer Robson
GTKY. Javert from Lea Miserables he is just a fantastic character.
Hey everybody! Sorry if I've been MIA for the past month. Things have been really hectic, and I've been putting reading on the backburner. I've decided to make more time for it though.
I'm about to finally start reading the Harry Potter books! I know, I'm only like 2 decades late:)

Better late than never! I think they are must reads for everyone, you don't have to love them but you should read through at least book 3 (the first is good but they get much better later) .

I haven't read them either. And with as much reading as I do, it's surprising. I'll get around to it one day I'm sure.
I'm reading Throne of Glass right now. So far I like it, I'm about 15% in. I wish I had more time/energy right now but it's the end of the school year and I'm busy. I'll have more time starting on Saturday. I think I'm going to like this series, it seems right up my alley.
I would say the second book is probably next because if I start a good series, I usually just keep going without taking breaks. I love when I get invested in the characters for a long period of time. Hopefully the whole series is good.

There are going to be 6 books total, with the 4th book coming out in September. I think the next 2 years' wait is going to drive me insane. LOL

What are you reading? Prudence by Gail Carriger
Do you like it? It's okay. I'm not completely invested in the characters as of yet. Prue is spunky, though, so there are some amusing parts.
What is next? A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
And a GTKY who is your favorite villain? That's a tough one. I think I'll go from a love-to-hate standpoint and say The Darkling from The Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo.

I'm reading Wedding Night by Sophie Kinsella. So far it's kind of meh. I thought I would enjoy an easy fun read but I just haven't got to really like the characters. I'm about a quarter of the way through so I'll read a little more and see what happens. I'm not sure what's next. I might try to check out the Seventh Realm series mentioned in a previous thread.

The seven realms series is very good. And you can trust me. I've been telling sarasansh to read it too. Maybe you could read and discuss together.

I didn't realize they weren't all out yet. I keep starting series and then having to wait.
Hi! I went on a very long hiatus from the Book Club but I'm hoping to settle back in.
Just finished re-reading A Little Princess and reading Left Neglected. I really enjoyed both of them. I've always admired Sara Crewe's determination and perseverance.
I bought the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series so I may dig into that soon. I also bought Unveiling Mary Magdalene recently and am intrigued to learn more about her.
Edit: forgot villain. My favourite villainous character is Zenia in The Robber Bride. While not technically a villain, she ruins a heck of a lot of lives.
