I'm 10 minutes into my GTT this morning. I'm surprised how nauseous the drink made me feel this time. I think it's because of the fasting because it didn't bother me at all during the 1-hr. Skipping meals makes me hangry and nauseous, so I really hope I don't get all woozy or barf. Fingers crossed. Let's just get this over with!!
jap618 I've worried about my cats in the nursery, too - totally gonna try that tin foil trick. peep love awaiting new dresses! I got an awesome dress for my shower from ASOS for $17 and I *loved* it! cwbandthenewbie - hope you're over this flu soon!!
Seraphine. One of the dresses coming is the same one as katydid2015 had, only in a different color - the orchid - I think katydid had the blue? They were (are?) having a really good sale on a lot of their stuff. I ordered last Thursday and the dresses are coming today - they actually would have arrived yesterday but I wasn't home to sign for the package. Shipping was inexpensive (7.95) and the returns are free, which was really surprising to me since the dresses are being sent from the UK. So we'll see!
Yay, I learned to tag on PB!
I actually ended up with the orchid color and I love it! The dress is super comfortable and very flattering. I'm wearing it to my shower next weekend!
I must have mixed that up…I did see some of your pictures and you did look beautiful in it!
Still have my kiddo home sick. He hasn't run any fever since yesterday morning. Dr didn't say much except that his cough sounded croupy and prescribed him a steroid and cough syrup. He's asthmatic like me so this stuff hits him worse. He woke up throwing up mucus and super wheezy. Poor kid! He acts like his normal self minus the nasty cough. Hope I can get him well soon.
As for the name thing, we've had ours picked out since about a week after we found out she was a girl. Everyone seems to like it, we just have to keep pronouncing it for people.
luckystarz & jcar: good luck keeping the baby names secret! People are ruthless when they try guessing. We haven't officially announced (because another couple has the same name which is a whole other story) but we don't hide it when people ask. My MIL has already posted the whole name in a Facebook comment, which I immediately deleted because no, I'm not NOT sharing, but I'd appreciate if you didn't do it for us!
My random: Spent the better part of my night in L&D. My son opens the door to the garage when my husband gets home (he parks in the garage) and the dog ran right out the open garage door. We moved to a new area where we would most likely never get him back if he ran away, plus we live near a busier road. So I stop making dinner, run outside barefoot and chase the damn dog. He's a husky- mind you, so he just runs and runs and doesn't acknowledge me screaming/crying his name. I'm not even entirely sure he knows his own name at this point. I finally get to where he's running around these apartment homes and is stopping every so often and a man stops his car and tries to help me. Running after a dog who loves running doesn't help, FYI. Now it's me, barefoot and pregnant, crying and my dog running just within reach past me to taunt me as he's having the time of his life. Then he runs past me too close, I pretty much tackle him, which was not meant to be a tackle whatsoever. I catch him, but land on my side/belly. By this point my husband drove up with LO to pick me up thankfully. Dropped the dog off at home and went straight to the hospital, where it's standard procedure to monitor for FOUR hours. Baby looked good, I wasn't allowed to wear pants or eat anything but ice chips and H and LO got Taco Bell. I'm definitely happy baby is OK, but I did not want to spend my night referred to as the "lady with leaves in her hair who fell from chasing the dog" at the hospital... Hope everyone had a better night!
mrsh288 Ugh! I'm so sorry. Have been there more than once (chasing dogs)! That is beyond frustrating. I can't imagine doing it at this stage in pregnancy, either … and barefoot? I'm glad all is well with LO! Hugs.

Good luck with your appointments ladies. I have one today too. I've been in and out of bed for over an hour with DS. Not sue what's going on but at least I slept well before. Anyways I'm going to try to go back to bed, again; and catch up in the morning.
jap618 aluminum foil or balloons in the PNP is what I've heard!
I'm so scared of falling! We have crazy steep stairs with shitty, sloping, carpeted edges & it's all I can do to not fall even when I'm not pregnant! Just yesterday I was thinking - 4 hours in L&D after a fall is sooo conservative, even if you're not bleeding or cramping?? And then the post on FB appeared & I was like -- damn, ok, words eaten. Now I'm on pins & needles for an update and suddenly uber paranoid about falling.

Good luck with all the appointments today ladies! Random: My garage is being renovated today and I didn't sleep well last night. Between the noise, my dogs and the exhaustion, I'm already over today. Oh and one of these days I'll learn to gif.
I have to pack a bag for hb and I for our shower Saturday. It's at my brothers house an hour away but they are saying we may have a nor'easter this weekend so I am packing a bag just in case.
mrsh288 I'm so happy that you and LO are doing well! And that you were able to get the dog. I hate when they make you chase them, like it's all fun and games.
GL to all with appointments today. Our next one to check Hunter's size and my fluid levels is now less than a week away and I'm counting the days. Ugh.
We are keeping Hunter's name private until he's born, too. We did the same with Haden. Oh, except when I slipped to my mom and her boyfriend with Haden's and again last night with Hunter's. Oh, and except for when DH drank too much whiskey and told my best friend and his wife with Haden's and again with Hunter's. Soooo the same select group of people know. Oops!
Also, I've been up since 1 a.m.
I brought myself 1 extra Oreo today. I couldn't fit anymore in my container. Perhaps a bigger container is in order.
mrsh288 I'm glad that you and your LO are okay. That sucks that they wouldn't let you eat anything. There's nothing worse than a hangry pregnant woman that can only eat ice chips.
I'm terrified of slipping and falling. We have lots of snow that has turned to ice on the ground here and I'm so so scared that something's going to happen before my due date.
Can March 15 ladies stop falling/slipping on things? I hate that so many people are making trips to L&D...
We had a really hard time with names this time around. We just recently finally decided (I think). Now I'm worried because my step-FIL has a niece who is very close to him (he doesn't have his own kids) that used the name for their son although they are using a different nickname than we will. Knowing my MIL and step-FIL, they are going to be pretty judge-y about it when they find out what we picked. I have never met his niece and may never so I don't really care, but I know they will. Just typing that out makes me realize even more how stupid it is.
To make it more awkward, they've taken it upon themselves to start calling him Oliver. I actually do like the name Oliver, but I find it super weird that they call him that.

I am so dumb and/or just suffered a pregnancy brain episode. After a meeting, I walked like 3 blocks out of my way to get some stuff I needed at CVS. I found the 5-6 things I needed and as I'm walking towards the register I realized that I have no way to pay for anything! I didn't bring my debit card with me from the office to my meeting. Duh. So I had to stick everything somewhere and walk back to my office. The main thing I wanted was tylenol because I woke up with a slight headache that I feel is getting worse. I'm not walking all the way back so I'll make do until I leave at lunch. I felt really dumb though. At least I didn't ring my stuff up before I realized it!

We are having a BOY!
luckystarz once we actually pick a name we aren't planning on telling anyone either. They can wait until she's born. We did the same with DS and it drove people nuts. However we never heard a bad word about the name we chose for him.
We chose to not share b/c I had so many close family members tell me DD's name is, "awful, you couldn't possibly be really naming her that." She doesn't have a speshul name either, it's real but older.
Ummm yeah. When we picked names (boy and girl because we're team green) I didn't want to tell my family. Then we were over for dinner one night and they were really hounding us, so I said I'd tell them if they promised not to comment. They all promised. We told them. My Mom, especially, has taken every opportunity to suggest alternative names saying whyyyy would you name LO that? I blew up at her a few weeks ago and told her to shove it.
racegurl87, I love going to the dentist. it's right up there for me with going to the car wash. I like clean stuff and I like having it cleaned for me, I guess.
luckystarz, way to block FIL! I must learn some of your techniques. My FIL drives me crazy and now he is coming to my baby shower. SOs are welcome, but we didn't think he'd want to come. Hopefully he won't decide he needs to make a speech like he did at our wedding reception (which he was not asked to do and had absolutely nothing to do with DH or me or marriage). I give it a 50/50 chance he will feel the need to express himself…
jm0848, oh, no! I hope all goes well. Stay put LO!
I think someone had started a thread for people who changed their user names on PB - most of them I can figure out, and I know snlt1012 is our own lovely former mod, but if you have completely changed your name, maybe we could temporarily put the old ones in our siggies? (Sorry if this has already been addressed.)
OMG. You crazy crazy person. Who likes going to the dentist?
(I posted a very long rant about the dentist on J13 last night - TLDR my wisdom tooth (I only ever had one) that has stayed below the gumline in the exact same spot for the last two decades has moved down in the last 3-4 months. So now I have to have it out later on this year and I don't deal with mouth trama stuff - so many extractions as a kid. All the pissiness).
In addition to my new friend wizzy the wisdom tooth I have a new hemmie. Blurgh.
But this is all ok! Because after years of having to be nice to stupid fails on the bump I can FINALLY troll the asshats!!! I am loving the new bump world order. No adult supervision/those guys do not have their shit in order=free for all

Everyone seems to like the name we picked and we haven't had any negative feedback. The only thing that bothered me was FIL saying he is going to call him Hank as a nickname for Henry. Um no, you aren't going to call him that because that's not his effing name.

mrsh288, wow what a scary experience! Glad you and baby are doing well!
I also spent some unplanned time at the dr yesterday. I haven't felt baby a all morning and sat down to do some kick counts, baby b passed with flying colors but still nothing from a, so i thought it best to go get a nst. All was well, thank goodness, but it scared me, we are all at the point that if something goes wrong and we can get there in time, babies can be saved (Most of the time). That makes me feel more pressure to be extra aware. I also want to add that in no way am I blaming the mother when late term losses happen, just that in my case I'm trying to monitor movements as much as I can..just in case something can be done.
GL to all those with apts today! I feel so behind with all you at 34 weeks. Shoot i just hit 30 and feel like omg it's happening. Once you all go into labor then I'll wash A's clothes. Ha.
jcar i feel like names should be hard! We are choosing a name for a human that will last forever. And we are responsible and don't take it lightly. Have you guys narrowed it down? Top 2 and decide when she is born??
I'm still in bed. I gotta get up though. I was going to get coffee but now I'm not sure I'll get up in time.
Sleep has been going slightly better with just the boppy wedged under my bump.
My boss finally got a new desk yesterday. Now he has to shove his old one out by me so my assistant has her own and we no longer have to share woo! I know I'll be gone soon but i told them they had to do it before mat leave otherwise i know they never would.
Chiilbeansm0m I'm in the 30 week boat right there with you. Once everyone starts having their LO's I'm going to be really feeling behind. I figure my procrastination is allowed since I have another 4 weeks beyond most ladies.
AFM: I have an appointment this afternoon to interview a pedi so today I get to research questions for this interview. I still have no clue what I should be concerned with beyond vaccinations. Which this doctor will not accept you as a patient if you don't, so that's a non issue.
I'm over work already, and it's getting really hard to come in every day and give any fucks about my job or the performance that I am doing. Obviously, I still want and need a job, and care about the overall job I do, but my motivation levels are seriously dropping. Ugh. I am hoping that it's the January blues and February will be a little easier on me.
mrsh288 glad everything is ok with LO. I don't have any dogs but I can't imagine chasing one around at this point in my pregnancy.
Choosing a name has been really difficult for us as well. At this point in the pregnancy with my dd we already had a name picked for weeks. I think we may have finally agreed on a name last night, he's been holding off agreeing with me in hopes of finding something else that he liked more. But last night he finally said he like the name we discussed and it comfortable sticking with it. I am, however, not telling people what it is. Everyone has an opinion and I don't give a shit what it is and I don't want to hear it.
Today is my Monday, it's the first day of my work week, and I am dreading my shift tonight.

On the desktop version of this board, has anyone else noticed the "NEW Participated" button at the very upper right or bottom right? I really like that because it's a quick way to see new posts on threads I have posted on.

YAAASSSSSS. I'm so in love with that button. I like it more than I like my husband right now. It does more for me.
mrsh288 Sorry your dog is an asshole, but I'm glad you and LO are ok.
AFM: I woke up freezing cold when my alarm when went off at 6. The power was off, so no heat. We got about 6 inches of snow last night. The power came back on at about 7:15 and my house is slowly warming up, but it was almost into the 50s. I made DH get up and bring DD into our bed. DD's school wasn't cancelled, but they did have a two hour delay. DH decided to just go into work a little later and still take her to school. They left about an hour late, so they'll have plenty of time to get to town, but she'll probably have to hang out at his office for a little while. At least I don't have to get out in the snow until this afternoon. I'm going to be very careful and try not to fall. FX!

mrsh288 I'm glad you and baby are ok. That sounds like a really bad evening. babys2015 I'm glad both babies are doing well. It's always better to be safe and have things checked out if you are worried. GL to all with appointments today!
Re: cats in the nursery. I'm going to have to try that tin foil idea. I think we'll still have to be super careful for the first few weeks to see how my kitty acts. She's a snuggler and I'm scared she'll hurt the baby on accident. Re: sharing names. We have had our name picked out for a while and have only shared it with MIL and FIL. We just tell everyone else that we haven't decided. I don't need opinions.
Today we get the nursery furniture! It's been at the store for a week, but DH had to find someone with a truck and muscles to help him get it home.
