LO is 5 weeks 5 days and I think we've started. He slept like a champ yesterday. Today he was so fussy, super hungry, and would only catnap. I feel so bad for my little man!

We just started ours yesterday. I'm not gonna lie it's been pretty tough. She slept for a total of about an hour and a half yesterday and ate constantly. By the end of the day we were all exhausted, but she still fought sleep. She finally gave in a little after midnight. She woke up to eat a lot more during the night as well, but went to sleep pretty well after each feed. Good luck ladies.
So, last night, I fell asleep with LO in my arms on the couch around 9- 9:30pm. Woke up to a squirming baby positioning himself to nurse at 2:45am. Nursed, gave bottle when nursing wasn't enough, and went up to bed at 4am wit ha very wide awake, giggly baby in my arms. Apparently, fell asleep at some point and next thing I know, I have a squirmy baby once again trying to position himself for nursing at 8am. Is it very wrong I prefer this scenario to nurse/bottle/change/rock/sleep oh thank god in bassinet baby goes/wake in 2 hours and repeat over and over from 10pn-6am?
Am I a bad mom that I rather entrain scenario number 1 to the latter? What am I supposed to do??? This 6 week growth spurt is killing me!

I feel like my kid is sleeping through the 6 week growth spurt...
I want mine to do that! What's your trick?
I have no clue... I am thinking maybe fresh air? She turned 6wks Thursday. That night she slept 7 hours. Friday we went to target and then a trivia night she slept the whole time from 6-11. She woke up on the car ride home and I thought I was in for it and would be up all night. I nursed her and was in bed my midnight, she woke up at 6:30, nursed and then down again until 9:45am! Today we went to cracker barrell, old Navy, and bru.she was alert but happy in the stores and now she is sleeping again!
I'm definitely not complaining! And just waiting for the round the clock nursing...
My baby girl is 5 Weeks yesterday, every time she eats or gets a little fussy I insist the growth spurt is about to start early. Lol, ready for it to come and go already so I can relax.

Ugh, I'm worried now...LO is 5 weeks today, so he'll be 6w3d on 2/2/15 when I start back to work. Luckily I work from home, but getting back in the routine of work, getting new students (and all the work that goes into that), adjusting to a new schedule with having a LO instead of just me and the 6w growth spurt is daunting.
After 4 days of constant feeding, at least 4x awake at night, being super fussy, general frustrating-ness, LO had a calm day yesterday except for the usual evening fussing. And last night he slept for 5 hours!!! Then woke up, ate both sides in 40 mins and fell asleep immediately, and slept another 2 hrs!!!! Hoping this means we're past the growth spurt!! (*knocks on wood)
I feel like a new woman this morning. I hope it lasts for a bit!!

6 weeks 4 days today. Other than being on the boob for 3 hours in the evening (she's totally normal during daylight), there's been no real change. She was clingy for a day or 2. But I'm still waiting for it to be a growth spurt. Although if this is her growth spurt, I'll take it and chalk it up as a win.
LO is 8 weeks today so we made it through. LO seemed to sleep all day. The only thing that changed was that he was up to eat every hour at night for a few nights. He also went from napping in his RNp to only napping on me. Now that we made it through he seems to be sleeping a little longer than he did pre growth spurt. Before he woke up every two hrs and the last few days has been doing three hr stretches which is awesome!
LO is 4+3 and nearly did me in last night. Took forever to settle after his bottles, then would instantly wake as soon as I put him in his crib. 6 weeks may kill me.

This was me last week but breastfeeding non stop. I start work at 6 weeks next Tuesday. Can't wait.

I don't know how you Momma's do it - going back to work so soon. I can barely function just being home all day, let alone going to work
Oh, please let this be the growth spurt starting early. My baby has become a little terror. Let me love you!
For those of you pumping a stash did you stop pumping during the growth spurt??
I personally did. People had said that they felt like they weren't producing enough (even though our bodies keep making milk). I'm not sure if there is a right answer about not pumping during a spurt.
Is it normal to have a giant sleep after the 6 week growth spurt? My LO had his the last 2 days then tonight he slept for almost 9 hours straight. He was in his swing in his room and when he started to stir and I realized the time I sprang out of bed in a panic because it had been so long. Before this his longest street was 5.5 hours and that happened only once. Normally it's about 3 hours.
I'm not sure but LO is going on 8.5 hours since her last feeding. This is also her longest stretch. She hits 7 weeks today so fingers crossed (although if she had her spurt, it wasn't bad). Hopefully we'll be getting more sleep now!

My LC says, yes, that's normal! I think it's your reward for making it through
Boo, I didn't get a reward. Just a slightly less fussy LO and a few longer chunks between feeds. I mean, I'll take it... I think I'd get clogged if I went 9 hours though. I slept wrong on my left boob for 4 last week and it that was enough to clog.

I got a cold and now a baby with a cold... I'm so grumpy!
6 weeks wasn't very noticeable. She nursed more frequently, but that's it. She wasn't extra fussy. She's been more fussy lately, but that's due to her reflux than anything else.
