I mentioned this on +6 but I don't think I brought it up on the main board. 

On Tuesday I'm having a hsyteroscopy/D&C.  My monitoring u/s on the 5th showed what the tech and doc think may be polyps and the doctor believes that is what is causing me to still have bleeding (please note that he considers me having any bleeding whatsoever to be abnormal based on my LH/FSH/E levels). His goal is to stop ALL bleeding- as in no AF, no nothing. He is not planning on removing my lining, he just thinks my "AF-like" bleeding is being caused by the polyps and/or fibroids and not from normal hormonal stuff. Remove the polyps = stop that bleeding. 

Even though I knew this was the next step he wanted to take, I am freaking out. Last time I got knocked out I woke up short an ovary. I made sure this doc knows that I'm still considering donor eggs or donor embryos so please don't destroy my uterus, but I am still unreasonably worried. I've had a lot of surgical laps and have never had an issue with being nervous for them. I've been living under an IF diagnosis for a long, long time, but knowing that in one week I may officially be sterile is freakin' the ever loving shit out of me.

oh Bug! I'm so sorry you are facing this. It is totally normal to have these fears. I am terrified of losing my remaining ovary as well, but you have talked to them about your concerns and I am sure they will do everything they can to keep your ovary and everything in tact. You just have to trust them. I'm sure that is easier said then done though. I'm sorry love - sending you giant ((hugs))

He did. Since the polyps technically would/could work like an IUD, removing them should make my uterus a more hospitable place.
