Actually, I think I would stress less about building a milk stash.  I'd put LO down for naps more, since he's completely used to be held now.  I'd definitely get on Zoloft sooner.  I'd have made DH help out more when I was on maternity leave too.

How did you do that?  PB is so cool.

I think I would have started bed sharing sooner.  I was terrified of it until I just passed out with him sometime around 8 weeks.  We both would have had so much more sleep.

When my MIL came she would always held LO when he napped. I remember feeling that I wasn't a good mom bc I never did hold him while he slept. I remember saying to myself "your doing it wrong." I always put him down in his swing or crib. I didn't even think about it really. I just thought he would sleep better (longer) if he was lying down. Now I am glad that I "did it wrong".

If I had to do the NB phase again I would try harder to keep him nursing. After a month he got lazy and refused to wait for the letdown and I had to switch to EP. I've tried nursing since then but he just gets mad when the milk doesn't come out quickly and gives up.

Maybe try harder to keep with the BF. We had a hard time of it but I always wonder if I gave up too soon.

Also, maybe buy less clothes. I can't help myself. I see something cute and my debit card practically jumps out of my wallet for me.

I wouldn't give up on BF'ing so easily. After going back to the hospital the second time and having to pump and dumb after my surgery, I just gave up too easily. I actually liked pumping better than actually BF'ing, mostly due to latch issues. I also would do tummy time a lot longer and more often. I think he may would hate it less now. I could be wrong though.

I wish I could cherish every moment but I would try to make it go by faster. I hate the newborn stage with the unpredictable schedule and the crap sleep. I haven't had a decent night in five months. I much prefer when they get a little bigger and are able to sit up by themselves and are on a more consistent sleep schedule.

I wouldn't have been scared to let him be a tummy sleeper! Probably could have avoided the helmet that way

I would take more video. I barely remember the first two months AT ALL.
I also would have done less things for other people. DH took a month off, so we would go to visit people instead of forcing them to come to us, or just saying no in the first place, which we should have done. I am still pissed off about all the stupid crap we did while on mat leave.

I was so prepared for the worst, I got a really good NB sleeper but I was always stressed about how much he was eating and making sure he was ok. So I definitely should have slept when he slept! Also should have enjoyed going on walks more and enjoying the weather too.

I loved the newborn faze. I would of started the baby whisperer sooner. I also would of told my in laws to fuck of when they were complete assholes.

Spending time outside and taking better care of myself for sure. Also...maybe not so much swaddling. Trying to transition is killing me!

I definitely would have made different sleep associations, like nursing to sleep. I don't regret letting her sleep on us. She needed that closeness and body warmth when she was that little and we needed the sleep. You do what works until it doesn't work anymore.

I also wouldn't have been so afraid to leave the house. NIP just seemed so stressful at the time.

Mine isn't baby related. I would have done more to get back into shape. I dropped the weight so quickly those first 8 weeks and then it took a stomach flu a few weeks ago to lose the last 5 pounds. If I had actually tried doing something...ANYTHING...from the start I would probably have a better body now than I did pre-baby.

Defintiely would have put him down more to sleep...though I loved the snuggles. Enjoyed my maternity leave more by getting outside and excerised more. Also (not to start controversy) but may have rethought circumcision but only because we had complications and ended up in the ER...can you tell I still feel guilty over it?

This exactly. H and I always say we feel like we didn't get to enjoy LO because he was so fussy and high maintenance. I feel bad about that, but I don't think I could have done anything differently to make him less fussy. It is just his personality.

We had zero issues and did not transition other than we moved him straight to the crib. Hang in there!

cdseno off topic, but our baby was also very fussy and needy. Still can be sometimes. What, in your opinion, does that mean future personality wise? I try to be positive hoping it means she just knows what she wants and will be outgoing. Both H and I, especially H, were brats, maybe it's coming back at us lol.
