Sounds pretty awesome ! Don't know if I'm disciplined enough to try it. He poops between 10 and 10:30 every.single.day so maybe I should try just to eliminate that one dirty diaper.
I find this pretty intriguing. I've never heard of it before now. I'm not sure how to find cues since we use disposables. So there is no way to see when he is going in respects to his face/sounds. I think it's awesome you are trying it! Definitely no crazy eye from me.
I seriously don't have time for it, but I am starting to learn their pooping cues and have thought about sitting them on the potty when I think they're about to poop. I CD too and the less diapers I have to spray the better.
For whatever reason DH is so intrigued by EC. Some of my coworkers from India do it with their babies. It sounds really time consuming to me. We just have little chats with DS about how great it is to poop at daycare and he does that 90% of the time I am curious to hear updates from those who are doing it!
Good for you trying EC. But I think I would lose my mind. I am just trying to get him on a sleep schedule so I couldn't imagine potty training at 5 months. I am exhausted just reading your post. Lol

LO peed in the toilet tonight! DH and I were so damn excited! I can see why EC is worth trying. I think I'll designate some time everyday to not wearing a diaper and we'll see how it goes.

Yay! Wait till you catch your first poop! They seem to be easier for me to catch since there's some work up to the poop and it's generally the same time everyday. Keep me updated on your progress!
I will! I'm expecting to be able to catch at least one poop a day bc she goes every morning like clockwork. FX we get it tomorrow, it's so exciting!

I have no plans to try this, but no side eye from me. I know they say you can do it as much or little as possible, but I just can't imagine it working in evenings/weekends and not at daycare. If you can have success with it, that's awesome!

Started yesterday at 8pm- we had three pee catches since this morning! This feels addictive, it's so exciting when it works. Granted we were out for 3 hours this morning and she dirtied two diapers, but that's 3 less to wash already. I'm hooked bunattack !

yay! That's awesome! Since I was out of town we missed several days of ec so today was my first day back at it and caught 2 pees after stroller strides. I missed his morning poop because I was cooking, but I noticed the cue before it happened so I consider that a win.
It's a little creepy how excited I am to catch a poop.
My LO makes a whining noise when she needs to go. She always has preferred not peeing in her diaper. She makes the noise until we check her diaper then she pees once the diaper is off (all over the changing table). Now I just dangle her above the toilet when she makes that noise.
We've been making the "pssss" noise with him since he was born- it's obvious when he's pooping, but we've only caught him peeing when he's peeing on us on the change table, ha! About a week ago I finally started sitting/standing (cant keep the little stinker down if his feet touch anything!) him on the toilet as soon as I take his diaper off before a bath, and drum roll please- Last night he peed in the toilet for the first time! He must have really enjoyed all the cheering he got because he did it again this morning after a nap!!! I can only imagine how I'll react when he poops in there for the first time, hah!
Sooo, LO was standing on the back of the toilet seat for his pee like usual, when all of a sudden there was poop running down the raised lid! He pooped on the toilet for the first time this morning!! Key word being "on", haha! Looks like we're going to be practicing different positions...
