We love pamper swaddlers for daytime. Worth every penny - no blow outs or leaks. Nighttime for us is a different story. She is a tummy sleeper and when she wakes up, she's peed through the diaper, sleeper, sheet and onto the mattress pad. Anyone have overnight diaper recommendations? What do mommies of little boys wear? They need more front coverage, right?
We use Pampers baby dry, just the next size up for at night. We just started this last week because Lo was leaking thru because he sleeps on his tummy and side now. Hasn't leaked once since.
@kelsz12 does your LO go right back to sleep after the motn diaper change? I've thought about doing one during one of our wake ups b/c my LO keeps getting a diaper rash since he started teething. Pediatrician said we didn't need to, but I wonder if it would help.

When she was waking at night we always did a diaper change. Since she's been STTN after her bath and before bed I put desitin creamy on her and she hasn't had any irritation.

We use Pampers Swaddlers and have a tummy sleeper too. I would maybe just try the size up? As for rash I put a petroleum based gel on called Diaper Doo and he has been rash free. We had a terrible rash before that Butt Paste wasn't helping and my sister recommended Diaper Doo and it works awesome!

We use luvs also for our little guy too. We had leaks with both pampers and Huggies. We also found luvs worked best with our girl when she used diapers.
Following this thread! We use Honest Co and love them and the convenience of having them delivered to our house. We do one MOTN diaper change (usually during a feeding) and otherwise we don't have any problems (LO is a boy). I imagine once he starts STTN and isn't taking a mid night bottle, we can eliminate the diaper change as well.
Same here! Been using Honest Co diapers since LO outgrew newborn size Pampers swaddlers and never have had blow outs, on occasion we have had some leaking. LO does STTN...I try to change him if he does wake up because by morning his diaper is soaked. When I do change him MOTN, which usually is like 11-12am, he talks and looks around a few minutes then goes back to sleep.

+1 for Honest Co. We don't usually do a diaper change MOTN (because she'll wake up and start talking away) unless she pooped, just slather on some diaper cream before bed and they stand up to what seems like gallons of pee. The only time we have problems is just when it's time to size up, some pee will leak out of the top.
This is in comparison to Pampers Swaddlers- which were okay, and Huggies- which are useless.
We are big fans of Kirkland signature diapers from Costco. We have tried a lot of different brands (we had a diaper shower so we work our way through what we have in a size first before buying more) and Kirkland and pampers are our favorites. However neither of the twins sleep on their stomachs so I'm not sure how they would do for tummy sleepers.

I buy Kirkland for daycare. Even though they are Kimberly Clark, they do seem to hold more than Huggies also made by KC.

Another one for honest co. I mostly cloth diaper during the day, but use honest co for overnight. She's usually in the diaper for about 11-12 hours and I haven't had any leaks yet (had lots of leaks with huggies and pampers). I just slather her bottom with grandma el's diaper rash remedy and prevention (favorite diaper ointment!) and haven't had any rashes either.

+1 for this although we don't always do this overnight. The cloth diapers do better with poop than disposable IMO.

The smell of Luvs nauseates me. I dunno wtf is in those diapers but they have a strong odor. I've found overnight disposables of whatever brand to work well for heavy pee, but you could always throw a cloth cover over it for extra protection.

Oh yeah, cloth definitely contains poo a whole lot better than most disposables (although she's only had 1 blowout in an honest co diaper and I think that was when she needed to go up a size). My LO doesn't usually poop during the motn, but she's such a heavy wetter that she leaks through the cloth diapers...even doubling up on the inserts. Any recommendations on a good CD for overnight?

Yeah he's soaked through his Bumgenius freetime a few times.

Have you given a boost with hemp and/or bamboo inserts? Are you using MF inserts? Pockets go so far and then I find the best is an overnight fitted and cover, people swear by wool but I didn't even have to go that far, a regular cover was fine. I have a couple monkey snuggles overnights and they're pretty much bulletproof even up to toddler bladder but there are a million small brands out there now that will do the trick.
Luvs but there is an odor. I have only had a couple leaks but I think it is because I put it on crooked or the back was folded down. Huggies snug and dry were ok but snugglers were horrible. Pampers were ok as well. Luvs seem to hold a lot of poo or pee. Fortunately my son don't pee much at night and never poops. My experiences are mostly during the day. I try and change him as close to bed time as possible. If he wakes up motn I dont change him unless I didn't change him just before bedtime.
We use Huggies Snug and Dry or Pampers swaddlers. Basically whatever I get a better deal on with coupons, cartwheel, etc..but I'm tempted to try Honest Co. Whenever LO poop it leaks and goes up his back. I'm always soaking and scrubbing clothes on the days he poops.
We use pampers baby dry! She sleeps all night and the only time we have leakage is when we need to go up a size! We tried huggies and found we were getting up twice a night cuz she was wet and crying so back to pampers we went!

+1 to hemp doublers. I use the joeybunz I think and DS' skin is still dry in the morning. They are amazing.

I've done bamboo, still leaked. I don't have any hemp inserts... Maybe I'll give the fitted+cover a try. Not sure about wool. Wouldn't that get hot? We live in Florida so it's 384297329 degrees. Thanks for the info!!

Hemp doublers are amazing ! They keep him so dry ! Eta: I use BG free times but I also love my fitteds + cover for naps or nighttime (I usually put a disposable on him at night, but if I run out I put hemp doubler in either the free time or the fitted.)

If bamboo is like hemp you have to wash it like 5 times before it becomes fully absorbent.
Andplusalso I do like honest co. I don't like to spend the money but I'm a snob when we are going out to functions now days and the adorable prints just makes it cuter! They are pretty good for nighttime.
