Every morning I wake up exhausted and want to call out of work to sleep all day. I know the nausea will kick in later this afternoon. My boobs are so sore.
On a random note I'm already using stretch mark cream recommended by my RE to start using since I'm so tiny. I'm using burt's bees and the smell is nauseating. I usually love their products too.

Are you using an actual stretch mark cream from Burts Bees? I use their replenishing cocoa butter one, but I didn't really buy it for that.
I thought they were mostly genetic anyway. I'm fairly tiny myself and I just figured you kind of get them or you don't. What lotion did your RE recommend?

Huh maybe I'll ask about this at my appt today. I already have stretch marks on my thighs. Probably a good idea to get started with it before I grow. Also now I'm really curious what it smells like lol

is it the mama bee stuff? I think I used that a little during last preg.
FWIW, I got ZERO stretch marks on my belly (one super small on my butt at the very end that no one but DH will ever see, so random) and I'm not a big girl either. I wouldn't say "so tiny" but I'm thin and I gained the top end on weight (about 35-40 lbs). I was not good about creams or oils at all. Just lucky I guess. I hope this babe is as nice to me.

Now I'm really curious.
Any STM that can shed some light on the stretch mark thing? Google is kind of all over the place. Any creams actually worth the money? I lotion up every morning already, but should I using something specific?
Well I just got done dry heaving. I do feel a bit better. I'm back in bed since it's only 5:15 and I don't really need to get up until 6. Breakfast isn't until 8:30 anyway. I will probably get up and go down to Starbucks in a bit though to get something to tide me over.
Yesterday was a long day, but I did okay. Today will be another long one. I was exhausted but sleep is good here (comfy hotel bed, no toddler), so that helps.

I really think it's a combo of genetics and random luck (or not). I really do not think there's that much you can do to prevent if you're going to get them.

Makes sense. One less thing to stress over then. I'll just keep doing what I've been doing.

If I'm supposed to be so tired, why do I wake up so early?
Oh right, to PEEE.
But then I can't get back to sleep because I start thinking about being hungry. H is thrilled because I normally am the type to not have any interest in eating until late in the afternoon, but now I'm up at 8 making eggs.

I agree with this ^^ but I also wonder if there's any truth to the idea that a zinc deficiency can contribute to stretch marks:

Feeling good here, but the nausea seems to set in afternoon-evening. I couldn't think of anything for dinner last night and MH suggested Chick fil a - I ended up with the chicken noodle soup - it was magical - my nausea went away and I felt human again - nothing makes you appreciate feeling good as much as feeling shitty.
I know yesterday was only Tuesday, but how is it not Friday yet? I'm over this whole working thing.
I agree! I have to keep reminding myself that I have 8 more days, then it's summer and then I really only have to work 4 months and this baby will be here and I'll have anywhere between 8 months and 2 years off...Bring it!

I've never gotten stretch marks with any of my babies, but I always get nasty spider veins in my legs. Even with my first for only 9 weeks I had nasty spider veins. They faded eventually. I don't use lotion much typically and I'm pretty thin. I really think it's luck of the draw. My doctor has never recommended anything.

I'm interested in hearing about this too, and the cream that your RE recommended, peaseblossom55. I got some stretch marks on my hips during puberty (odd because my hips are not that big) so I assume I will get some during pregnancy too. Like others have said, I believe whether you get them is really a mix of genetics and luck, but that doesn't mean I won't try to prevent them!

Completely off topic, but does your name have anything to do with Tanner Foust and Top Gear? I've just been curious.
I have no idea why auto correct changed name to binge.

+1. STM and I had stretch marks before DS. He didn't give me any "additional" marks. I gained 13 lbs with him. But like I've said, I'm plus size already.

Morning all! I'm actually feeling pretty good this morning, but my DD is still struggling a bit with the stomach flu. I'm finally breaking down and taking her to the doctor this afternoon.
Stretch marks: I didn't get any the last pregnancy. I agree that it's really a question of genetics. However, I have a friend that swears by the burt bee's product and while she still got some stretch marks, they seemed really light and faded pretty quickly post-baby.
I hope all you suffering nausea feel better soon. I get hit with waves every now and then, but for the most part I can ignore it. I have massive respect for all you that are really suffering and still manage to function like normal humans.

Holy fucking nausea this morning. Luckily the person I share an office with is out today so I am gagging to myself and if I need to puke I can in peace. I was yesterday so I have my door closed and everyone thinks I am just catching up on work so they won't bother me. Really I am in here gagging and trying not to puke.

It wasn't meant to be (I just had to google Tanner Foust), but I think MH watched Top Gear so I'll have to ask him about it. It's a reference to the Elton John song, used to great effect in the movie Almost Famous. Also I grew up dancing.
Today was my first time to gag while brushing my teeth. So, that was fun.
I do this all the time! I did it with my first two as well. Yeah it sucks so bad, because its like if I throw up I will have to brush again, and then I might throw up again! Ha! It's some sort of cruel joke!
I have gone from nauseous to actually throwing up. The good news is I feel amazing after throwing up for about 20 minutes after until the nausea kicks in again! I got a ton of stuff done in 20 mins!!

I hardly got any from DS. I did use a generic cocoa butter lotion for awhile, but stopped when the smell started getting to me. I believe they are more genetic than anything!
