We will be doing 3 across with 1 FF diono and 2 infant snugrides. Is it easier to have 1) FF behind passenger and 2 infant seats in middle/behind driver or 2) FF in middle and 2 infant seats behind driver/passenger? FF is 2.5 yrs, so she needs help getting in/out/buckled. Thanks!
For me, it would depend on how easy it is to get the snugride into the middle seat. When I just had the twins, we put them behind the driver and center in our mini-van so I could load them both in from one side and it was fine. When DS#2 came along though, I tried putting his infant seat in the center between the big kids seats and it was really difficult to get his seat in/out so we switched one of the twins into the center.

What kind of car is it? I ended up getting a car w/ a third row because my vehicle wouldn't fit that.
In any case, I'd put your oldest on the passenger side end, so you can help them w/ buckles and still reach her if she needs something. The middle may give her more leg room, but she'll have access to messing w/ both of the twins (at least mine would have) and she has to climb over bases.

We have a kia sorento. We put all 3 in and they fit so we are good there luckily! I was wondering about climbing over the bases. I'm sure it will be even more crazy when we have 2 RF convertible and 1 FF!

Maybe I'll have to play around withe this and see what is easiest. Since its an suv, I do have to pick all of them up higher than I would for a car or minivan. Right now my DD is in the middle position and it is a total PITA to get her in there bc of the huge belly I'm toting around. I should really move her seat at least for to make it easier on me!

I'm dreading the 2 RF and 1 FF. I think that's when we will probably have to look for a new car. Probably one with captains chairs in the second row.

I'm hoping to hold off on the new car until all 3 are FF. Honestly even with 2 captains and a 3rd row, 2 RF and 1 FF is not easy... it's just not an easy set up no matter what car you have. When we were looking for a new car, I took all carseats with me.... it was a PITA regardless of the car. That's part of the reason we decided just to stick with what we have. Make sure you pay attention to where top anchors are available when you do shop for a new car... it's a big deal for when you have 3 FFs.
When we had 3 across, we had to put DD behind the driver. DH couldn't move the seat back far enough with a RFing seat behind him.
Ours is tight with a RF behind driver but I drive 99% of the time and am used to having to adjust for the car seat. So I'm ok with that. Now that DD is FF, I feel like I need easy access to her so that's why I'm thinking middle or behind passenger.

I think I would opt for behind the passenger. If you put your DD in the middle, you'll either have to reach over the infant seat or leave a baby sitting on the ground while you buckle her in.

She could turn around and buckle her in from the front seat. Kinda awkward but no babies are left on the ground.
