I've done a little bit of looking around, and it's good to see some familiar names. I was erinel on TB, but thought I'd come over here and start fresh with a new name.
For those of you who don't know my story, I lost my son Q last February. He was five and a half weeks old, born perfectly healthy, and was home with us for a week before he caught a virus. Once he became sick, we brought him to the hospital where he was in the NICU for four weeks. He was on an array of interventions, from cpap to a ventilator to ECMO, and ultimately lost his fight.
This February we welcomed Q's little sister L into our family. She has brought us so much joy, but I am also struggling with how much I miss Q. It is almost as if being so happy with L has made me sadder about Q. I am lucky to have very supportive friends and family, but it's nice to have this online community with other women who get it first hand, so I wanted to come in and join you all.
