Looking for second opinions on my chart, just out of curiosity, since we're TTA this cycle. Link to my chart (also in my signature): www.fertilityfriend.com/home/36c8c0

I charted for two cycles back in 2011 when we were TTC DS. Now we're gearing up to try for #2, so I started charting this cycle. And as you can see from the link, it has been a wacky cycle. I had a sinus infection at the start and took a 10 day course of antibiotics beginning on CD 13. Thanks to the sinus infection I think I slept with my mouth open a lot, hence the rocky temps. 

First positive OPK came late in the day on CD 19. I had ovulation cramping on CD 20. By end of the day on CD 21, OPK was negative, so about 48 hours from first positive to end of surge. This was consistent with my last charted cycle in 2011. FF put dashed crosshairs on CD 21 (thanks to the cervical mucus pattern), until today... When I entered today's temp, it moved my O date to CD 23 and gave me solid crosshairs. CM notwithstanding, that just doesn't seem right based on the OPKs.

I think the sinus infection probably effected your beginning of the cycle temps. I don't see a clear shift... but if your temps were up because you were getting sick and then shifted right after that might make sense. If you weren't sick I'd say anovulatory... but with the sickness and looking at the other signs I'd go with FF's guess. Why is the temp on the 16th a throw away?

Yeah, that sinus infection really threw things off, and I'd been sick for two weeks prior to the start of the cycle

The temp on the 16th is CD 23, the date FF wants to say I ovulated. I discarded it to see whether it changed my O date - which it did, back to CD 21. I generally don't discard temps, even on the days when I know I was sleeping with my mouth open, and that may have been one of those days.

well I'd go along with ff for now. I typically trust temps over cm/ O feelings; however with no/little chart history your chart almost presents as a typical fallback pattern with the 17th being an outlying temp. suggesting O on the 19th, but without historical data to know that is your pattern (and that you typically O on last day of +opk not first) I'd go ahead and be happy with ff's indication of the 21st.
The more chart history you have the easier it is for ff (and you) to identify.

I don't have a lot of input on the chart, just popping in to commiserate. Last month I was sick right at my FW and FF never gave me crosshairs (though there was a pretty obvious shift), it was annoying! I think CD21 looks good given all the signs together, but it's hard with such rocky temps to be sure.

wannabmama, I feel overly confident (at times) analyzing others but not my own! damn I have been doing it for so very long... I started on graph paper when ttc my first 18yrs ago... seriously. That being said I do not proclaim to be a ff wizard. Sometimes I look at charts and I'm lost and think thank goodness that is not my chart to try and interpret.

CD21 makes sense to me based on OPK+temp+CM, but not CD23 (I've left that temp in so you can see the chart now). My first positive OPK was at about 10PM on CD19, was positive through the morning of CD21, and was negative by the afternoon of CD21. I continued to test b/c I didn't see a clear shift (not like my other two charts - which were soooo pretty), and b/c I got random patches of fertile CM late in the day for several days afterward. 

Here's hoping I get my period today or tomorrow and the next chart is easier to understand!

jess9802, random cm is just that, random CM is a secondary sign meaning you may have fertile cm but it does not indicate O occuring/has occured. I then with your comment regarding saying first + on cd17 say cd19 is what if it were my chart I would believe O day was and that would give you your typical (of three charts) 14 day lp. Ignore outlying individual temps. I know it is hard to do. Much easier for me bc I'm not emotionally tied to it, but really it is the overall pattern to view.

ok, reread what you wrote, I guess I made up info regarding +opk on cd17, anyway... I still say cd19 makes sense and it would give you a 14 day lp, but if it was the 21st no biggie with a change in lp to 12 days.
