May Book- The Golem and The Jinni Final Discussion

Here is the deal. My daughter was really sick and I let my library copy expire before I finished. I only made it to chapter 24. There was a wait so I couldn't renew it, so I'm not sure when I'm going to finish. Please give me your thoughts on the book.

I was right up to when shit was starting to hit the fan. Michael knows about Chava. Anna blackmails Ahmad. We find out Fadwa was being used to lure the Jinni. Well, what happened? Where do they end up? How do they evolve as people/creatures?

I actually read it already when it was first released so I have a general idea what happens, but vaguely. I'm just more invested this time around and it's like all knew characters. So to answer your questions yes I do.

Ahh well I didn't do a reread so I probably can't tell you much more than you remember. I will come back later with more thoughts.

I really loved this book. It isn't a fast paced, quick to enthrall you kind of book but it lured me in slowly with its wonderful descriptions and characters.

The Jenni was the character who changed the most he was a selfish arrogant being at the start and as well learn his history we see that has been his nature for centuries. I think his relationship with Matthew and with Chava really transformed him and once he realized his past and the mistakes me made, he made sacrifices to try and repair them and protect those he cares about.

On the other hand Chava changed very little. She was an intelligent and loyal being by nature and remained that way through the book. She saved the Jenni's life and waited for him to return from his journey even though he didn't always treat her well. With the help of her teachers, mainly the Rabbi, she learned how to adapt to her surroundings.
