I have so much stuff in the diaper bag that I don't even know really what is in there at the moment.

I started carrying a giant purse/diaper bag. I have been known to carry some unusual items around, but a tape measure is as odd as it gets at present.

I have a coral colored sharpie. For a while it was the only pen I had in there but I finally snagged another from a hotel while traveling last week.

I have a 6' tape in my purse and I think it's totally normal and a great, practical gift idea. In a pinch I've used it as a scale.

DRIVE sticks all kinds of weird things in ours. Currently there is an acorn top she found in the park in there that she refuses to get rid of.

To be fair, my mom carries one too. She's definitely not an engineer. I was carrying my stamp around in my purse for a while, but took it out. That was definitely a weird one.

Your stamp? That is a weird one.  In the 4.5 years I've had mine, I've only stamped two projects so I have NO reason to be carrying that thing around with me.  I do the work and let other engineers take the credit liability:)

I am an engineer too...I didnt realize this was a thing I got used to always needing one in my purse when we were remodeling.

Ya never know when you need to hem a pair of pants. FFFC I've been using double sided tape on two pairs of work pants because I can't find the time to properly hem them.

I had the baby monitor in there for awhile. I also have a stamp but that's because I'm a notary. It's not in the diaper bag though I just wanted you all to know that I am fancy too.
