Last night was my piano recital for my students. It went well, except DS had a meltdown when he couldn't hug Daddy (Daddy was filming the recital) and it was really embarrassing for me. My Mom was keeping an eye on him during the recital. He then was rude to my Mom and she got upset. It was frustrating. But the students did well and I am proud of them!
Today I am leading worship (playing piano and singing) for a ladies brunch at a friends church. Their worship person backed out at the last minute so she called me yesterday and asked if I would fill in. Should be interesting.
The rest of the weekend I will be transcribing some audio files and doing my regular church stuff on Saturday evening and Sunday. Oh, and family dinner with DH's cousin on Sunday evening.

jmc11511 How old is your LO? That sounds like normal kid behavior, so I'd try to let go of the embarrassment, if you can. Easier said than done, I know. I'm glad the recital went well! Also, thanks for posting!
theophania An adult roller party sounds amazing! Have fun
I ran around with SO and LO all day yesterday and I am beat. We're just playing around the house so far today, but LO wants to go back to the zoo (we were there for part of the day yesterday), so we might. It's a cool day which will be nice for doing some of the outside trails.
Tomorrow I have book club and then we're having some of SO's coworkers over for a game night.
We're going to DD's daycare teacher's house today for a goodbye party for one of the students. Then tomorrow we're going to a BBQ. Otherwise just doing things around the house this weekend.
Hi ladies! I worked last night so I'm just getting up.... DS is napping so I'm waking up slow. jmc11511 I agree, sounds like kid behavior. It's hard when it's in public, but I bet people all understand. They were parents, right? We've all been there theophania, ummm adult roller skating party and sleeping in? I want your weekend. PiradicalMaid we will be at the zoo tomorrow! Petting zoo part is open. I'm maybe more excited than DS. ellebelle enjoy the BBQ, mmmmm. Sounds so summery! We have a bday party this afternoon at a circus school! Should be a blast. Tomorrow is zoo in the morning. Maybe pond in the afternoon. We spent yesterday there and DS looooooved the water. It's really close to home, and free. Bonus. Hope everyone has a nice weekend. ((Hugs)) to those who need them, especially our recent additions. Try to be gentle with yourselves and I hope your LOs can cheer you up a little.
Dinner with a friend tonight and back to the gym tomorrow. I'm working with a trainer and had cancelled until my bleeding had stopped (not that I filled him in on that). Time to refocus!!
Hi everyone! My weekend started yesterday because I took the day off. We visited a preschool, ran some fun birthday-related errands to start getting ready for DS's party next month, and then went strawberry picking. It was a long day but a lot of fun!
Today we went to my niece's birthday party and it was great but SO hot. The party was at a carnival in their town and then we went back to their house for cake and the kids played outside. It really was a lot of fun but I was so happy to take a shower when I got home.
Tomorrow we're planning to convert DS's crib to a toddler bed. We're also getting started on his activity table so it's done in time for his birthday. I have an old TV stand that I'm painting with chalkboard paint so he'll have a chalk area, and then I found a portable Lego/Duplo mat that he can roll out when he wants to play Legos. I'm excited about it and hope it turns out as well as I'm picturing.
Cleaning and organizing the house. This is the first weekend I have been home in a month and the month before that I was banned from doing anything. So it is in desperate need of attention.
soultrane, your LO is turning two right? Why are you changing to the toddler bed? Alex climbed out of his crib twice in the last twenty-four hours. I am so not ready for the toddler bed!
boobacat and ellebelle, we really like the school and the teachers so I'm pretty sure that's where we'll enroll him. Still debating on part-time vs. full-time though. We need to sit down and read the paperwork and policies and crunch some numbers today. Thanks for asking!
fabk, he'll be 3 in a few weeks. He's never tried crawling out but he's been asking about a big boy bed so I think it's time. Fingers crossed that this goes well!
We've had somewhat of a slow weekend, which I'm thankful for. We went to BB&B and (finally!) bought new pillows and a comforter for our bed. Other than that we've just been enjoying the break from the rain and playing outside with DS. I'm currently hibernating in our bedroom studying/writing while DS and DH are downstairs.
