'Ello! So, last night I accidentally woke dd while checking on her before bed. It took over an hour to get her back down. I was so angry with myself. Luckily she slept pretty well after she finally fell asleep again.
Not much going on here today. More applying for jobs. Then my moms coming over for dinner. Should be low key day.
Night two of sleep training sucked sooooooo much. Nobody is happy at our house.
Oh no! I'm sorry friend was it still better than night #1 at least?
Putting him down for sleep was much better (only took us 12 minutes versus one hour the night before ) but the MOTN wake up lasted for two hours. It was horrifying for us all.
Just left the Phillies game..super boring..but nice to be outside with DH kid free. Plus DH drove so I had a couple drinks..I'm a light weight anymore.
And I feel bad about complaining in my post yesterday about the "slow moving motorcade" it turns out it was for Joe Biden's son who passed away.
We had a great morning, but I knew we were in for it as soon as I woke up with DS at 8 instead of 7. It threw the whole effing day off because that means he should have napped at 10:00, but we had his baptism at 10:30 this morning, and by lunch (you know, with all our family and friends) he was fussy. My mom finally got him down for a nap, but he only slept 30 minutes and was clearly still tired when we got home. Just got done spending 1.5 hours getting him back down, and then 20 of crying because he was so hysterical and nothing I did could stop the crying. H never once came in to offer to help. So, dick punch for him. DS was amazing for the baptism, though!

I'm so sorry. You really deserve a break, lady! Hope it gets better. Although, if it's horrible, will you tell me so I can justify avoiding it all together?

Ugh, solidarity. 2 hour MOTN are no fun. Fx that night three is the charm!

Glad ds did great at his baptism! But sorry the naps got all out of whack. Same thing happened to us today.
The wedding last night was awesome. I'm paying for it today though. DH woke up feeling pretty good but started getting sick this afternoon. Turns out he has a 101 fever so he went to bed super early today. Then I was feeding DS dinner and he choked on a puff. Most terrifying few seconds of my life. I had to swoop it out of his throat and then he started crying so I was scared I hurt him. He's been acting ok since though. Rough day all around for me.
Not much here. DH worked the cows today, mostly moving them to and from different fields and weaning some of the calves. LO and I went to town. We went to Target and two grocery stores, he did awesome. Went to my parents house after all that. Came home and cooked dinner, then I cut up some veggies and am getting ready to make some pinwheels. I've never made them, they seem pretty fail proof. Here goes nothin!
A had a bath worthy poopsplosion this morning too. I don't understand how she just keeps playing when this happens either. Dirty diapers don't phase her.
Today was a good day. We had a cookout for DHs brother before he deploys. A was a little clingy though and wouldn't let any of H's family hold her. Then tonight I went to a movie with step mom. First theater movie, hell first movie uninterrupted, since October!
Ok. Night 3 of sleep training has begun. Really good start. LO fell asleep in 5 minutes. That has NEVER occurred.
I really, really hope the night isn't awful.
I'm feeling really guilty because DS had horrible separation anxiety all day and I'm sure it was because of letting him cry it out.
Hope the rest of your night goes well. Can't imagine how hard it is but sounds like DS is getting better falling asleep each night. Hope that's a good sign!

Oooooh nooooo! Maybe you'll have a really bitchin' Monday!
