So the nurse just called with results from my second beta. It only went up to 32.7 - first draw was 23.1. Fuck. She said that it's still very early, and at least it's going up. They want to retest in 10 days. So this should be a fun wait.
I'm not that surprised because my tests weren't really getting darker, but it still sucked to hear. Has anyone had slow betas and a good outcome?
I have no experience with betas but I will be keeping you in my thoughts! A ten day wait seems a little much to me, I hope the time passes quickly for you.
Ugh I'm so sorry. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that everything is just off to a slow start!
I am a little curious about the 10 days retest - you'd think they'd want to do one in two days to keep you from shitting your pants in worry...
I know, right?! I asked about that and the nurse just restated that the doctor said she wanted to wait 10 days. They just kept saying it was early and we needed to wait and see.
I am wondering if I should call back again and ask to get tested sooner, and maybe have my progesterone checked too.

From my experience, if you insist on something they usually agree. For example I used to have an OB that refused to do betas but when I insisted they had to agree since it is my pregnancy and I/my insurance is paying for this. So if you're anxious I'd say call and ask to come in sooner, you can even say that this is really worrying for you and that getting answers sooner would help. 10 days is SO long!
I'm sorry. I hope it is just off to a slow start. And I would call back and ask to have them tested earlier than ten days. That's a long time to wait/worry.
Ugh, I'm sorry. 10 days is a long time to wait- I agree with the others about calling to see if you can get in sooner as well as get your progesterone checked. Hang in there. It is very early. Hugs.

I would. I think a 48 hour value would give you some insight as to what exactly is going on, not to mention hopefully ease your mind a little. ((((Hugs)))) I'm sorry you're going through this. FX it's just off to a slow start.
No experience, just wanted to say how sorry things are slow to get going. FX this is just a slow start and you will see a big rise from your next draw.

(((Hugs))) I'm so sorry. I agree that you should get back in sooner, and have your progesterone checked. If your OB/nurse isn't willing to get you in sooner, I would honestly be in the market for a new OB. Sticky thoughts and fx it's just a slow start!
