Sadly, my true hobbies are watching TV and movies. That sounds so super lame. But it's my form of entertainment. And I thoroughly enjoy it. I get all wrapped up in the critics choice's for best TV shows and movies. So award's show season is an exciting time for me (it has begun)! I'm a loser. I know. You can laugh. It's okay.
But for realz...I used to go to Zumba classes religously and LOVED it. Would love to pick that up again. Especially since it involves something other than sitting my ass on the couch to watch TV or a movie. So yea. Butthereforealso, I don't have time for it.
I also like sleeping and wine drinking. Sleeping is a former hobby I would like to pick up again. But...ya know... baby.
Once upon a time I was a runner. My last race was the Flying Pig half marathon in 2013. My biggest regret is not keeping it up while I was pregnant. Now I'm having a hard time figuring out how to start again. I have a jogging stroller, so once the weather gets better I'll be fine. It's just hard to find time to go to the gym. I feel guilty picking him up from daycare and going directly to the gym and dropping him off in the childcare room there so I can work out.
I might consider home-improvement a hobby. I love to paint rooms and organize closets. Is that weird?

So weird. J/k. Wanna stop by my house and organize my closets?!

It's so weird that maybe I'll hire you. Lol. J / K.
I actually also like working on closets, but I hate painting.

Have you tried Jillian Michael's 30-Day Shred? It only takes about 20 minutes and there are 3 levels. I've only been doing Level 1, but I can tell a difference in my endurance and tone just by doing it daily for the last few weeks.

Yes to all of these: wine, sleep, organizing (mostly due to the anxiety a messy/unorganized environment gives me) and Zumba/30 Day Shred. In that order. I just had my 6 week PP check up and am looking forward getting back in the swing of everything. I love 30 Day Shred. I should totally bust that out, I bet it would make me feel so much better.
I also really love crafting. I used to have a weekly wine/craft night with girl friends. They've all moved away now and baby has taken over. Sad.
What's the deal with working out and breastfeeding? Heat makes me leak... the 30 Day Shred could get messy

I have to double up on sports bras when I'm working out. Do you ladies have any recommendations for brands that are supportive enough that you've run across?

I'm nerding out here but I love bird watching. There's something about going hiking and finding a new bird and just being out in nature. Can't wait till spring to start getting out again.

There's so much I want to do, for myself, with LO, for fun, with other moms, around the house... you get the picture; but I'm having a really hard time getting my shit together and finding the motivation.

Sounds like I'm the only one that doesn't have a real hobby. lol.
vlagroupie did remind me though that I love to hike. Obvis its just too cold for that right now. But when spring arrives, DH, DD and I will be hitting up the parks for some nice hikes. At least that's something else that gets me off my ass.
I've been in this area for almost 15 years and I've never really visited the parks to just go and enjoy. I was wanting to do a bunch of things on maternity leave but that didn't happen.
Yes! Anyone on the eastside, I love going to the Cincinnati Nature Center in Milford. They do have a membership fee, but awesome hiking trails and the have a kids playscape. I'm wondering if DD will be able to participate in it this summer but if not I'm back carrying here and hiking those trails!

What area is considered east side? And talk slowly to me because I only know the main road outside my house. Lol. If I didn't have GPS I would probably end up in Canada trying to get to one of our g2g's.

Sharon Woods in Sharonville is very similar!
I think we'll have plenty to choose from when the weather gets nice. I can't wait!

Eastside would probably be considered more like Anderson and Eastgate and anything east of that. Milford is off 275. It's probably only 20-25 mins from where I think you are located.

I would love to get out at least once a week and go for a walk. I don't run so I won't even pretend to be interested.

Ok. Babes pedi is in Eastgate, and we may be moving to that area in a few months as well.
