Anyone have anything going on this weekend? Hope we all get a chance to enjoy our families!
Tonight I will be working on some transcription work.
Tomorrow afternoon/evening we are going on a double date (kid free) to Disneyland with DH's cousin and her husband. Yes, we are lame. We have reservations for dinner.
Sunday is a regular Sunday of church all morning and family dinner in the evening.

I'm in Chicago for the weekend visiting my parents with my girls. My favorite neighborhood art fair is this weekend and I needed to get away from "real" life for a while!!
I have a baby shower to go to tomorrow which I'm feeling conflicted about. Otherwise, the only plan is to relax and recuperate after a busy work week, and to prep for another busy week coming my way. End of school year stuff is crazy!
Also, completely unrelated, but I'm WFH today and have my windows up because the weather is wonderful today. Some girl just drove by my house shouting the Jordin Sparks song Battlefield at the top of her lungs. It was pretty awesome.
jmc11511, have a great time at Disneyland kid-free! That sounds wonderful!
frenchteachermama, I love visiting Chicago - such a fun city. Enjoy your escape from real life this weekend!
unringthebell, sorry you had a rough work week, but it sounds like you have a great weekend lined up. I was originally going to go to NYC this weekend too for a reunion, but ended up changing my mind. Have a great time!!

DS has a tryout for gymnastics pre-team tomorrow. I probably won't let him join the pre-team even if he makes it (he's 4 and I don't want to go to two practices a week yet) but his teacher suggested that going through the tryout process could be good for him.
DH is studying much of the weekend because he has an exam Monday and Tuesday (he's in the process of taking his architecture licensure exams) so I'll be keeping DS entertained. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can go to the pool.
Hi ladies Thank you for the love again on my other post. You are all amazing. We are taking it easy tonight, and then tomorrow we have a wedding to go to. We may or may not stay and camp (in tent or powerless cabin). It's a solo night for SO and I. Much needed. We haven't spent a night together away from DS ever! Mama anxiety already, haha. But it should be fun. Sunday will be recovery day
We're just hanging around town this weekend. My dog had surgery on Thursday so we have to keep a close eye on him to make sure he's not bothering his stitches. We are going to see The Lion King musical on tour tomorrow though with my parents and brother and sister.
I am a teacher and school got out yesterday!!!! I am planning to quit and stay at home, but I haven't told my school that yet because we were waiting to sort a few things out with my husband's job, but it felt very freeing! However, a little part of me felt like I couldn't be excited because I should be sad because of the loss. That's another reason I didn't tell my school yet, just dealing with all of the emotions with the miscarriage.
Anyways, we went to our neighborhood pool with G last night! He is 14 months old and LOVED it! He kept trying to squirm out of our arms as if he knew how to swim.....um, NO!
Today we are running errands and then are going to go out to dinner tonight to celebrate school being out. I think we are going to look for a tree or plant to plant in rememberance of the baby. Tomorrow we are working in the nursery at church. I don't think that will be a trigger because usually it's older babies my son's age.
On another note, SO MANY PREGNANCY ANNOUNCEMENTS! Seriously, like two every time I log into Facebook, and most of them are "I am a big brother/sister" pictures. I know it's going to be hard when the "January 2016" Moms start announcing....
Sorry for the long rambling post that was related and unrelated!
ellebelle how is your dog doing? And how was the Lion King?? Did you see the YouTube video of them singing with Aladdin in the airport? txmommy14 Yay for being done! Congrats! And did you find a memorial tree or plant? We are planning on doing the same when we move next spring... And I also agree with the "unfollow" button on FB. Some people are restrained but I had a friend who posted weekly updates... Nope.
leahks77 he's doing really well thankfully! We have him on super restricted activity which is hard because boxers love to play. But we're benched together because I'm not allowed to do any running or high impact exercise until another week and a half after retrieval. Lion King was amazing, I'll have to check out that video!
leahks77, We decided we want to do a Japanese maple since it has the reddish color of the January birthstone, but we haven't found one yet! We might go look again this weekend. I need to use the "unfollow" button more!! I always forget that's there...
