You can't sit all the way up to your desk anymore because baby doesn't like it and starts pushing against the desk.

Also, you can't wear your regular shoes because your feet are so swollen they cut off circulation.

When you finally got a babysitter and found a restaurant, and the skinny-mini waitress who's seating you looks pointedly at your belly and says, "are you sure you can fit in a booth?!" And then you can't. :/

When nothing you own, even the maternity clothes, fits anymore.

When you ask your OB if the pain/discomfort you have is something to be concerned about and they tell you it's completely normal...and "going to get much worse."

My husband and I went out the eat the other day and the waitress put us in a booth. I tried to sit down and woundnt fit. We had to move to a table. Sad day!

I did this the other day! I could barely squeeze in!


When you can no longer sit cross legged on the floor with your kid and have to either sit with your legs spread wide or one leg bent in front and one in back.

My shirts still fit. Pants? Forget about it. I'm resigned to wearing yoga pants for the remainder of my pregnancy. Unless the pants I ordered from ON actually fit me. That would be awesome.

I had this conversation the other day with my OB. I asked her if there are any stretches to help with the hip pain and she said the figure 4 stretch where you fold one leg over on top of the other at about the knee, and then bring the straight leg up toward your chest helps to stretch out the hips and might help relieve some of the pain. We're also learning stretches in my birth classes to help with that as well.

We moved the old couch into the playroom just for this purpose. Bonus: now I won't have to neglect DD in the playroom if i need to nurse or hold the baby..

Some of my shirts fit well enough but they're pushing it in the belly portion. I've gained more weight than recommended though so that's probably part of my issue. Definitely all of my pants and shoes are done but I just make do with what I've got. How many more weeks?

Good suggestions. Thanks for the tip I will have to try these out. I need to be doing labor prep exercises but I've been using exhaustion and nesting as an excuse. It'll be worth it for the stretching alone!
