This reminds me that I need to go grocery shopping. Ugh. So not into it. I saw a recipe for "adult spaghettios" that I kind of wanna try.. It's a copycat recipe for the canned stuff. The canned spaghettios were one of my pregnancy cravings for awhile... Poor DS.

I always wonder how much food people cook when they plan on eating leftovers as a full meal. I always look at meal planning threads and it seems like a lot of people do it. My husband and kids eat so much freaking food we can only scrape together the scraps into kid lunches the next day and that's not even a guarantee.
I always cook something I know will have lots of leftovers for the week at the beginning of the week. Burritos, salsa chicken, pulled pork. That way dh has lunch for the whole week.
Mon-meatloaf Mexican style (cheddar cheese and salsa) and side of spinach Tues-Grilled chicken over salad Wed-broccoli rabe, chicken sausage, feta cheese tossed with pasta Thurs-Tacos and margaritas! Fri-H's responsibility (usually means ordering in...) Sat-chicken pot pie Sun-slow cooker carne asada

calvinfoster you are so organized! I may look into this program. I am terrible at planning meals. This week I think we are having
Beef stew (super basic recipe that likely isn't as good) Lasagna Sweet n sour chicken Baked Italian chicken Bbq pork sliders
No clue what order. And I never plan sides, just usually add a starch and a vegetable. Oh, and when I say "we" are having that stuff for dinner I really mean Dh is. I don't eat meat so I will have some modified version.
I'm not cooking this week since we have VBS at church, but things I've made recently:
www.pink-parsley.com/2015/06/sweet-sriracha-glazed-pork-skewers.html (Except I used chicken because that's what I had on hand. Served it with fresh corn on the cob and green beans) Pulled pork sandwiches & coleslaw Tacos & refried beans Homemade pizza (I just used refrigerated pizza dough and toppings were canned pineapple and Canadian bacon)
We almost always have enough leftovers for one night, but we cook a good bit of food at one time. And make a lot of vegetables to go with it, especially now since our garden is going crazy with produce. Also, there are only 3 of us eating, DS included, so its easier to stretch it.
I don't remember what is on my meal plan even though we bought the groceries for it. I have to keep a list of meals that I have the ingredients for otherwise I forget.
We are doing a good bit of grilled meat + veggie lately.
DH eats a lot so my goal is always to make enough for dinner plus lunch the next day. I don't know how I will manage when DS is older and eats a lot too.
