Have any of you had a swollen armpit(s) in pregnancy?? All I could find on google was stuff about swollen lymph nodes, but I have no tenderness & no discrete lumps. Just a swollen armpit. I know breast tissue extends into the area so I assume this is related to milk production...?
Anyone else? I feel like a freak. Mehhhhh.
Feel free to complain about your weird pregnancy symptoms in this thread too ;p let's all be freaks together!

I had armpit swelling on one side while I was nursing from mastitis. If you have it on both sides, it could be a systemic infection. I might get that checked out. Does it hurt?

I had a friend who got swollen glands under her armpits when she got her BFP. I think due to hormonal changes? I think it's just another lovely, less common symptom.

I feel like I wouldn't know if is happened to me, because my boobs are so swollen / huge right now that they feel like 1/3 of my body. (The other thirds Are my head and stomach, seriously, I look like a snowman, haha!)
Mine seem a little puffier, but like a PP, I assumed it was from general weight gain. I've also noticed that the skin in my armpits is darker. I hope that goes back to normal after delivery.
That happened to me last time when my milk was coming in. Dr told me to ice it and take Tylenol if it got painful, but it was my glands ramping up to feed DD.
My H looked at it before I posted this and (despite the years of medical education) said "that's fucking weird, go get checked out."
Then I made him do a real exam and he decided to put his brain on - he said it's just breast tissue. (And then proceeded to tease me about my boob armpit.)

Come to think of it a lot of women have breast tissue in their armpit area. It's probably normal for it to swell due to hormones. I'm glad there is no pain though!

Thanks, doc!!! Well, I'm glad that you have some answers, anyway! And I swear, none of us are laughing about boobpit.
