Does anyone else follow this? DS has been extra sensitive the past couple days so I checked the app and sure enough he is right at the second fussy phase for leap 5 and the described behavior is exactly what he has been doing. It seems sort of crazy to me that the fussy periods are so predictable, but DS has very closely followed the leap schedule so far.
One of the more challenging behaviors of this leap for us is that he wants one of us to always be close by. We can't really set him in a safe spot and run to the bathroom or empty the dishwasher right now. I out jumparoo in the kitchen and that helped me be able to do dishes and keep him entertained.
Yep, my LO has been doing the same thing. She's ok playing in her exersaucer or having tummy time if I'm with her, or at least close by. But, when I go out of site she looses it. This makes it really hard to do laundry (I'm in an apartment and the laundry room for my unit is outside and down the stairs, and shared by 7 other units.) So, she's frequently upset when I'm doing laundry, as if I need another reason to dislike doing laundry.
Yep. It's pretty damn accurate for us. I have the book and I haven't opened it since I got it for Christmas. I downloaded the app and look at it regularly.
I checked the book out from the library and the app has 90% of the info from the book. The book has a bit of filler and anectdotes.
I also just checked the book out form the library- I was curious if I should buy the book or if the App would be fine, I think I decided just to stick with the app.

We just started leap 5 and oh my god...this is the first one that I could really tell she was in it. She gets to where she only wants me which is really hard at work. Also I just have the app.
Yes understanding wonder weeks has helped. I would have thought he was not right long ago. I love when he comes out of them all calm. I believe we have just entered the 5th leap but unsure since he was 8 days early. He is 24 weeks starting tomorrow I think. Gotta check again.

They go by due date...I think you and I were both due 12/31 and LOs were born 12/23, right?

So we are all due date buddies?! but, mine wasn't born 12/23.
I swore Nicolas was going to be January. Imagine my surprise when he showed up before Christmas!
I was the opposite. I never thought I'd go past my due date! We digress...
But, to add to the original conversation, I don't really think my LO has followed super close to the WW? Maybe I'm just clueless, though. I don't have the app or the book, just what I've read online.
@nanygoat Maybe babygoat adjusts to new things more easily than other babies. I feel like there has to be some variation.
He totally has his fussy periods and all that, I'm just not convinced that it is super consistent with the WW. Maybe it is a little before or a little after, but I don't think that I could set my calendar by it or anything.
Also, I'm loving babygoat, so this is how I shall refer to him from now on!

Lol baby goat. Fussy periods can be shorter or long. Sometimes it can be hard to tell but once you read about the cues it all makes sense.
I don't have the book or app and tried to Google a little information about this WW and it wasn't much help. Based on due date, lo would have been 26 weeks yesterday and he's definitely going thru something. Those that are a little more informed than me, what might we be in store for with this leap?
Leap 5 has been rough. While this leap has been going on she has had 2 colds, an ear infection, and a reaction to amoxicillin. We still have 11 days left and I'm pretty excited for the after leap calm.

Yep, the fussy period for this leap has 2 peaks and the second is at 26 weeks. I'll try to c/p the description.
Your baby: Cries more, more often or longer; Asks for more attention; Sleeps less or worse and eats less; Has mood-swings; Is not pleased with many things.

This is babygoat all.the.time. That's what I mean about not knowing if it's a WW or just him being...well, him.
I think my LO just came out of this ww. He has changed so much in the past week!!! He has started dragging himself some, he learned how to "kiss", he's all giggles, he can now sit by himself and has really just matured.
I have the app and it is dead on for Max. I didn't realize we were in leap 5 yet but looking at the last few days there has totally been a difference. I thought it was teething but this makes way more sense. Might be some of both but there are no noticeable teeth yet. Can't wait until he comes out of it.

I have the app. The main thing I notice when he's in a leap is he eats a little less. But what definitely matches up to the leaps is his advancements in gross motor skills and other skills. It's like there will only be minor progress and then the leap ends and BAM - big advances. He should be coming to the end of the current leap in about a week and I'm pretty much anticipating he will all of the sudden sit up / crawl (he's close to both, but can't quite get it down).

I was due on the 23rd too! But he came on the 26th.
jesster88 I'm so glad you brought this up. I have the dang book sitting on my nightstand, but I always seem to forget about the next leap until I'm at my wits end with him. This time I caught it only a day or two in, thank goodness. Remembering all the new things he's experiencing definitely helps me to be extra patient with him!
