I can't get on board with schedules for young babies. We definitely do a set bedtime and wake up time but we follow cues for everything in between. I feel like I would go crazy trying to stick to a specific schedule.
I don't really care how fasionable my baby's clothes are. I have seen a number of fashion/decor bloggers talk about how they will only buy their baby's clothes at Zara or BabyGap or whatever...who cares! DS looks cute in his animal clothes from Carter's!
I dont like fast food. We will do quick casual places like Chipotle etc, but I can't remember the last time I had McDonald's.
I'm not crazy about hand-me-downs or getting baby clothes for LO. I suppose because most things people have given me are NMS. Maybe if they were things I liked I wouldn't mind at all.
This skirts the line between UO and FFFC but my LO has never worn shoes. Seriously, I don't get why people bother either with buying them or wrestling their babies to get them on!
@kelsz12 I was a no caffeine pregnant woman! I stabbed a few people, but survived. I think it has to do with your comfort level. I also didn't have any alcohol, deli meats, soft cheeses, tuna, etc. My rule is, if something went wrong with the pregnancy, would I blame the caffeine and alcohol? I would, so I abstained. It is more for my own sanity than anything else, I guess. I wont criticize a pregnant woman for her choices, as long as they are within the standard practice of healthy. I think it is okay to tell a woman to not do crack while pregnant. karebear2 I feel the same way, but bc I know how much poop I have had to scrape off of DS's clothes. I wouldn't give then to someone else after that!
My UO: I don't like bacon. I like turkey bacon, but the real stuff grosses me out. It has to be practically burnt for me to enjoy it.
I don't mean to harp on you, but your comment reminds me how I dont understand the listeria safety guidelines. You really have to go out of your way to find unpasteurized cheese in the US. The sheets that the Dr gave me warned against soft cheeses, but it is not the texture of cheese that makes it unsafe. I can't figure out why pregnant women are told to avoid soft cheese especially when the past few listeria outbreaks were ice cream, organic hummus, and organic mango. Of course a Dr isn't going to warn women to avoid fruit.

My LO hasn't had shoes on once. (Not even special occasions like his Christening or even a wedding we went to)
We have 2 pairs that are too big still, they're for when he starts to stand up/walk.

This weekend at my mom's birthday party LO had an adorable (but barefoot) ensemble on. My mom kept saying "It's cute but when you kids were babies I had shoes and socks on you at all times, but I guess that's just not important nowadays. *siiiggghhhhh*" I'm sorry but what exactly is the purpose of that? Especially in the summertime, if I wore socks I'd die. I'm definitely not going to put them on my little hot-natured baby.
@txaggie08 We bought LO Sperry's the day after we found out that I was pregnant. They were also on super sale, but they were so cute. First thing we ever bought LO

I think porn is disgusting and I hate that SO watches it a lot.
I agree. I especially hate how much it causes unrealistic expectations, pretty much for all guys who watch it (too big of a generalization?). I also have a huge aversion to all bodily fluids, so that plays a pretty big role in why I think it's so disgusting.
