I love to just sit outside on a blanket.. And I'm SO excited to spend a week in Cape Cod in July. I'm really nervous about sunburning my poor guy though. I'm researching all kinds of beach tents and whatnot so I can shade him. He's so fair!

Welp the damn ocean was too cold so that was a bust. The pool is a hit though! Not so much a fan of her float because she kept trying to bury her face and suck up the water, crazy baby! We turned an pizza shaped float from 5 below upside down and made a baby pool vimeo.com/130656324

For baby bathing suits, do you all think the rash guard kind are best? I've never worn one but I imagine they make you friggin hot. I'd hate to overheat the poor kid.

I was wondering this, especially the long sleeved ones. We have a body suit type one that LO wore in the pool but it was short sleeved. It would make sense to have a long sleeve one for extra protection but it regularly gets in the 100s here.
It was the first beach I went to (and grew up going to), which is probably why I have so many complaints about Texas beaches.
The first beach I ever went to that I remember well was in Italy. It was beautiful we cAmped there for a month. The the cape, for summer vacations. So when I went to port a I was like uhhhh....
We finally had a beautiful weekend! LO one had his first trip to the beach where he didn't seem to like the water and tried to eat sand. He also enjoyed some swing time while picking up his big sis from school
Did u get the duckie to the beach idea from me bc we totally did that last week?! Pretty good idea, right?!
I saw that and meant to comment that great minds think alike. We actually used it about a month ago for her 1st beach day. It works really well because when she sits in the sand she just wants to eat it lol.
I'm loving that duck! I've seen it in stores before and thinking it would be a good investment. He LOVES his swim floatie so I think that he would like the Ducky too.
It's already miserably hot in Florida, so we don't do too much outside. We live about an hour from the beach, so we'll probably make a trip there at some point in the next few months. DH hates the beach and always needs serious convincing bc he grew up in Pensacola, FL and has had his fair share of sand. We've also had am elevated amount of shark attacks so far this year!

We go to cape cod in July too! Where on the cape do you go?
