Sorry I have been MIA it has been super crazy around here. Nothing says Fun Sunday like getting a baby up at 5:30AM to go to my H's first triathlon of the year...in the pouring rain. I cant even skip it because its 2.5 hours from home and we drove down last night. Should be an interesting day.
We have tickets for a baseball game later but not sure if the rain is going to clear. When we bought tickets two days ago it was supposed to be 80 with sun and some clouds :-(
gldnbearz you never did eat? Ah, well, sometimes I'd give up dinner for a long nap too! And my sleep last night was pretty good, but I was talking about another activity--I'm not a virgin anymore!
First swimming class today and it was AWESOME. So glad LO likes it because they were not cheap. She was so happy and did great kicking. She was the youngest in her class and most enthusiastic. Initially I signed her up to do the classes with her daddy but it was so fun I want to go every week.
Other weekend news: got my annual hair cut and I do not love it. I think she ran out of time to thin it out and add extra layers. jjh1119 would it be rude to go back and ask for more thinning? I'm going to give it two weeks but I'm worried I'm never going to like it, and I cut A LOT off.
Going to catch up on all the other things I missed yesterday.
pixie523 nope, not rude at all! I wouldn't wait the 2 weeks, though. Just call the salon, let them know you'd like a little more texturizing/thinning. If you liked the girl who did it let them know you'd want her again, just for a little more texturizing
Well we are headed home a little soggy but overall it was fun minus the migraine that has been plaguing me since about 9:00am :-(
It rained on and off until about noon, we were able to see the first 5 innings of the game before a rain delay was called bc it was pouring. We left when the rain let up a little because lo hadn't napped, my head and we had no idea how long the delay would be. Glad we did because it was a two hour delay.
Now I just need another day off to recover from the weekend :-)
I have been reading but busy this morning. Had to do 6 updos in four hours. Then we are at my parents for a cookout with a crazy fucking couple and it's taking all of my damn efforts to not flip my shit. If they give me any more parenting advice I'm going to scream.
And yes I'm on my phone and ignoring all of them. And yes she is passive aggressively complaining about me being on the phone and how rude it is.
I would need days to explain all the crazy of this woman
There was a good amount of vodka involved, yes there was. DH said he would like to add the activity to our evening plans, so I prepared myself accordingly. It was better than I remember it being! But mostly I was glad I remembered how to do it. And wildflower810 we're getting tooth #2 over here. I hear you! pixie523 I've been considering the swimming lessons- how do they teach them at this age?
zengal I expected just a lot of floating and singing but there were some legit swimming elements. Initially it was making the babies comfortable with water on their bodies and head. We did some assisted back floating, worked with a dumbbell to float on the tummy and kick, plus submerged them a couple times which she was fine with but I hated. Everytime we had to "zoom" I'd say "I'm sorry sorry sorry" but she was totally fine! It was a 30 minute class and it felt like we covered a lot of ground!
Just left! Liam woke up from his nap crying. She told me not to make eye contact with him, and just rock him back to sleep (he was in his stroller). Umm no, I unbuckled him and picked him up.
She smoked NO LESS THAN A PACK OF CIGARETTES. I kept taking him away from the area with every pack.
Her husband unbuttoned his shirt and let his fat guy hang out the whole time. He smoked A WHOLE PACK HIMSELF. Wtf in someone else's house? My father smokes, he got up and walked away for the whole three cigs he smoked.
She smokes like crazy and drinks so much and eats so unhealthfully and then complains about her diabetes. Her blood sugar was out of whack the whole time and she still kept going for her wine and desserts, etc.
She also kept saying her son needed to top my husband's proposal and they needed to top our wedding. How about he just does his thing.
They're moving to South Carolina next week so I never have to see her again
MsNicole06 I feel bad for her son's girlfriend. The woman said when she gets pregnant, she will fly up here and visit the whole month she is due. Like move herself in and wait for that child to be born. And do what I don't know? His girlfriend is so sweet I would be in the front lines defending her that that will not happen. This isn't even coming across as crazy but I promise, she is crazy.

jjh1119 that poor girl. I'm always amused by mothers and MIL who want to come and wait for the baby.
MIL needed to go shopping for DD since we're up visiting my family. She bought a plastic swimming pool with a giant shade umbrella, little lawn chair, swim suits and few outfits all in bright pink. It would seem the fact that I hate pink was completely lost on this purchase. I'm really hoping this latest purchase will stay at her house. It seems that after DD spends time with my family MIL has to go spend a bunch of money on DD.
MsNicole06 what's with the competition with MIL's?? When I was pregnant my family was very generous and my MIL took offense to it, because I didn't tell HER what to buy. Uh, you all got the same Amazon registry link.
pixie523 I wish I knew what was up with it. Especially since my parents don't care. MIL bought our crib and car seat and my moms response was oh good for you, always nice to get that instead of buy it. My parents aren't competitive about DD at all. DD recognizes my parents in person and their voices on the phone. She'll smile instantly. She doesn't do that with my ILs, and it takes a few minutes for her to smile for them.
