I just love being needed and wanted... By such an adorable and perfect person. That's weird but true.
Also- C loves when I play Itsy Bitsy Spider and gives the biggest smiles. The anticipation of that final crawl up the water spout gets him every time!!
One of my favorite parts of being a mom is that with all my kids I'm the one they want the most. When I hear "no I want mommy" part of me lights up. Of course that can backfire when I want a break but they only want mommy. It's nice to feel needed and loved no matter what. I also love when out of no where my older kids will say "mommy"? And I say "what?" And they say "I love you". So cute.
I love that DS is so comforted by me .He can be freaking out with anyone else but as soon as I take him he normally calms down. He has also been going through a sleep regression, and will not sleep in his room. He will only sleep in bed snuggled by me. While I want my bed back....I'm not going to lie I love that he wants to be near me so much. It makes it hard though when he is waking up nonstop because that means little sleep for me. But I just look at him and can't believe how perfect he is.

My favorite thing is when I'm holding DS, he picks up his head, looks me right in the eyes, and slowly smiles! I think of it as the "I love you" look. It's my favorite thing in the world.
Such a great post. My favorite is when I can get her to laugh. She is a tough one and rarely hands out the giggles but when she does it just brightens my whole day!

The immediate unconditional love is my favorite. Mine for them and theirs for me. Nothing in the whole world fills my heart like they do. It's so different, b/c you CHOOSE to love your spouse, but I didn't choose to love them - I just do, and it's all-consuming.
Outside of that, I love baby snuggles so much. When they finally fall asleep in your arms and you can just stare at them for HOURS b/c they are so beautiful and perfect.
And for my toddler - nothing in the whole world beats him saying "I love you". He tells me all the time, random times, whenever he just feels it.
I also admit that I love being the one who is the comforter whenever they are sad, sick, hurt, etc.

I love getting her when she wakes up in the morning. She is so excited, kicking her feet and squealing. My husband and I fight over who gets to pick her up first. I also love that she says mama! It's the sweetest sound. Another favorite part of motherhood is nursing, such a sweet and quiet time for snuggles.
I love that his first word was mama and he walks around saying "mamamamamamama", it's so sweet!! Also that he brings me books to read now! I guess I love most all of it to be honest!!

I love how I know I'm her favorite person. If someone else is holding her she always looks to make sure I'm right there. I love just knowing that she's mine and that when stranger say how beautiful she is or how big and amazing her eyes are, that it's MY baby they are talking about. And I love that she kisses me and says mama. She's my favorite
He looks at me like I am his world. I love that I can create a safe and loving environment for this little person, that I am the funniest person in the room, and every day seeing evidence of how my choices have paid off in amazing ways. He has unlocked a much deeper set of emotions that I never knew existed.
Plus simple things, like constantly finding these...
And walking in to my master bath and seeing these...

I let my husband do this today since he rarely gets to do this. I left for the grocery store and when I came back he had just finished getting him dressed, because BBQ had shat allllll up his back and on to his sleeper and sheets. <snicker>
My favorite thing is knowing that I'm taking care of her...meaning I know her needs and wants (most of the time). It's just amazing to know you created something and that you are responsible for them. And the reward for that is their smiles and giggles. I knew I'd love being a mom but didn't realize just how much!
We bedshare and I just love love love when he wakes up, turns to me, and reaches out to me with a grin on his face. Also making him laugh. That sound fills my heart.
There's so much I love about S. She is so curious about everything. At an early age she started asking what's that? what's that? to everything. She amazes us with how she's able to grasp two languages. I love how she laughs all the time and how she needs to snuggle next to me when she's going to sleep. She is also so very sweet. When she was little she started patting my back the way I pat her's. She also puts her little hands on my cheeks and I just think it is so adorable. She's also a bit spicy and she knows what she does and does not want and I love that about her.
I love her noises she makes- Little squeaky mouse noises steal My heart. Also I love it when I am breastfeeding and she looks me in the eye and puts her hand on my breast - like she is saying this is the good stuff lol.
She is 2 weeks old so some days are rough but she is worth all of it
