AFM, I am thinking of putting in some effort tonight/tomorrow to have a couple of frozen meals handy. My nausea seems to be hitting me right at the time I should be making dinner, and so I'm thinking it would be good to have a backup plan for the really bad days. I'm thinking of doing some meatballs with lots of herbs first, and we can have them over raw zucchini noodles (which is my new favorite thing ever.)
I have a basic meal plan for the week, but it's pretty boring - stuffed peppers, salad with roast chicken, sausages with sautéed summer squash. What about you ladies?

I love ginger so much, but to tell you the truth, its the tacos that I want really badly right now. Even though anything with tomato in it is killing my reflux, I want tacos with salsa SO bad.

I have always been a steadfast meal planner but that's come to a halt with this nausea/food aversion situation. So far the only meals I've planned for this week are:
vietnamese summer rolls salmon rice bowls
Seems all I can stomach is rice/rice products, fish, and fruit. Healthy, I guess!
Mon- taco salad Tues- parmesan tilapia, broccoli, steak fries Wed- chicken alfredo Thurs- meatloaf, red potatoes, green beans Fri- quinoa broccoli casserole Sat- pizza (DH and I will be OOT and my mom is staying with the kids, so this is easy for her) Sun- brinner
I can't even put together a meal plan right now because I want everything and can't decide. I can tell you though that we bought a shit ton of sweet potato fries that I can make for a snack when we get home from work until H is hungry enough for dinner.
I'm still craving soup, so maybe we'll make a couple soup recipes this week. And grilled cheese. And spaghetti? Mmmmmm....
I'm actually on the ball for this week. Not fancy but I've got to use up some things before going to the store this week Monday- Leftover tacos/rice & blueberries Tuesday- sausage and onions with any left over grape tomatos and frozen bell peppers, grapes Wednesday- tortellini and garlic bread. Mandarian oranges Thursday - brats Friday- cheesy potatoes in the crockpot
I love ginger so much, but to tell you the truth, its the tacos that I want really badly right now. Even though anything with tomato in it is killing my reflux, I want tacos with salsa SO bad.
I had taco's last night and they actually settled well, although I was full after one. My snack this morning was chips and salsa and it was perfect.

Wow I'm surprised by all the people who plan their meals out for the entire week in advance! DH and I just usually agree on what to eat the morning of and take what we need to out of the freezer to defrost. But our meals sound relatively simple compared to everybody else also.
Last night we had a DELICIOUS meal of steak, corn and bread. Tonight will be pork chops, corn and bread.
We usually rotate some combo of steak/pork/chicken/hamburgers + corn/potatoes + bread; or pizza; or tacos; or eat out.

Tonight we're having gnocchi w/ marinara because I just got smacked with exhaustion and can't give any fucks about doing something more elaborate.
The rest of the week, order tbd based on how I feel each day:
Pork tenderloin, zucchini, mashed sweet potatoes Trader Joe's chicken pot pie ravioli w/green beans - SS saw this the other day and requested it as his special meal this week Stir Fry or Grilled Kabobs - whichever DH prefers to make Curry Chicken & Broccoli Casserole Frozen Pizzas

I'm usually a dedicated meal planner but nausea has me avoiding all food related thoughts right now. So just flying by the seat of my pants this week. End result is usually something simple and easy, and easy on the stomach, a la cheese quesadillas, grilled cheese, or eggs and toast.
Monday: Hot Dogs - fully cooked, all natural, with no added nitrates/nitrites (Applegate) Tuesday: Pork chops with rice and broccoli
That's as far as I've gotten. I don't like food right now.
It's so hard to find meats without nitrates! So this is good to know. I have see Applegate stuff at Target I think. Next time I head out of town I'll have to look, because of course I can't find anything nitrate free in my town.
I really need this thread this week! I went to the store today and was really struggling to come up with meals for the week. I ended up just doing spaghetti tonight and got sweet potatoes for tomorrow (thanks to our thread last week!) I also might make egg+avocado salad sandwiches one night. DH won't be home for suppers this week so I am trying to cook lighter.

DH joked that we wouldn't have to meal plan this week because we have so many leftovers from our part on Saturday. However, he froze so many of them that now I think we're going to have to ... so thanks for the reminder/motivation! I like to go shopping on Tuesdays, so Monday is our "normal" meal planning night these days.
Tonight we had a mixed green salad with pulled pork and a red cabbage/bell pepper/onion/carrot asian slaw on top. Leftovers from Saturday.
Tuesday: Greek chicken salad on pita Wednesday: Bangers and mash with some red cabbage Thursday: Taco salad Friday: Egg salad sandwiches Saturday: ?? Sunday: Pepperoni pizza Monday: Russian winter salad (I'm skeptical, but DH wanted to try it)

Summer is my crazy busy season at work so we've been doing Hello Fresh for 3 dinners a week. It's been a lifesaver and I love getting fresh fruits/veggies into our diet without making too much effort. Aside from that we do a lot of pasta (I make and freeze a huge crockpot of spaghetti sauce) and grilled meats with basic veggie/fruit (hello watermelon season!) sides :-)
