Do you do yoga at home or in a group? I tried it on my own and I can't focus long enough lol. Damn ADD. But when I make it to a class, I feel better. Meditation, when I can, helps a lot. I just have issues find the right spot to calm my mind. I wish I could make it to a class regularly, but money is fairly tight right now and all the prenatal yoga places around me are $20 a class. Eep.
Yoga is my favorite! It does wonders for my anxiety. I tend to get in my own head too much and the focus required for yoga gets me out of my head and focused on my body.
I do yoga at home, but have taken classes before. I prefer home practice. I highly recommend taking a few classes if you haven't done yoga before because positions matter - if you don't do it right it won't have the same effect.
If you are trying to add it to your routine, start with a goal of one pose a day. This is what I did as I have a very overwhelming routine. I work full time and have a decent commute.
Once you get the one pose a day, learn the sun salutations - these are the basis for most routines, so if you get these down, you can pretty much add poses here and there as you learn more.
I have a few yoga magazines which are great because they have routines in there you can try out. I also have a yoga board on pinterest with a ton of sequences.

I really like the pose a day idea. I find I focus on the entire routine and get intimidated.
I do have been doing yoga inconsistently for 10 years. Right now I am blessed to have access to free yoga on Wednesdays which Lulu Lemon puts on at Parliament Hill in Canada. It is a wonderful experience to be with that many people doing it. Especially with social anxiety. But when it rains, no yoga, and when winter comes it will be over. Perhaps a Saturday morning class? I should investigate
