DH is folding clothes and I'm not going to tell him (again) that I hang almost everything up. I'll just have to make space in the dresser.
Quarter 'til 1 and I still haven't eaten. M is fussy today and just fell asleep on me so I don't want to move and have to calm her again. Headache is starting though, so I need to eat very soon. I need a fanny pack full of trail mix or something.
I used to keep a basket of snacks on the end table where I would always sit to nurse M when she was a baby. Unfortunately with a different set up in this house, there is no good place to do that without someone else's little fingers getting into it all the time.
I rolled my eyes hard at my August BMB yesterday. The UO thread was all about politics and people "confessing" to being "bleeding heart liberals". I don't think it's a huge thing to lean one way or the other. It shouldn't be a confession.
Sniff! Librarian here, slightly tearing up. So happy.
Hey heelibrarian! I forgot to tell you that my ebooks arrived in my email. I know it's not as good as a real book, but no way am I going to trust paper pages around DD. I already had to explain to her that books are scared when I found she had chewed one of her own. Lol.
I think you meant sacred but my books are scared around B too!

Also what is so bad about wanting kids to have enough to eat, women to have the right to choose, the schools to be decent, and to allow all people the ability to get affordable health care. The HORROR!
I agree with these things. I think I'm having a hard time reading you today.

I like the idea of a fanny pack full of food for when I"m stuck under a nursling!
I think this is what I'll start giving to new moms.

Also, I hate Vegas. 100% spectacle; all about wasteful consumerism and over indulgence. Too much time spent in enclosed environments with pumped-in oxygen. It's bad for the soul, man.
I guess that's more of a UO. The FFFC based on recent posts on this board is just that I hate the place.

I haven't listened to any of his songs yet, but I image googled that Ed kid and......girls scream over him? But in a positive way? Is there something I'm missing?

LOL. I heard his music before I ever saw his picture. Then one day I was watching Ellen and he was a guest. I was all...

I disliked it so much I gave up my dream job with the EPA to leave. I couldn't deal with the slot machines in the grocery stores.
Editing i have gone back once since leaving and still makes me claustrophobic.
Also not a Vegas fan! I mean, how much time can you spend gambling?
That said, I love all the shows they offer. So we went for one night during our trip to the Southwest solely to see Love. And when I had to go for work, I enjoyed seeing a few shows during that trip, too
I'm having lunch with a former former former boss and they work somewhere I'd really like to work and I may have put on a crapload more makeup than usual. And did my hair. I might also be wearing some foundation undergarments which make objects appear smaller than they are.
I have never been to vegas and have no desire to. We've gone to casinos once in a blue moon and that's enough. I don't need an entire town devoted to it. If I went, I would just want to go to shows the whole time.
I love Vegas, but then again I love to gamble. I don't like all of the casinos, and I hate Fremont Street. We always stay at the Wynn, Bellagio, Mandarin (although it has no casino, but the casino is close), or The Cosmopolitan. We spend tons of time at the pool when it's that season, I love shopping there, there are so many excellent restaurants that we eat out pretty much every meal, and then I play poker in the room or black jack at the tables, with some craps thrown in to mix things up once in a while. We will only go to a show every 3rd or 4th trip, so not every time.

I told DH that I really want to go--but just for the buffets. I don't know what else there is to do in Vegas, but I wouldn't mind eating myself into a new dress size and reading by a pool.
Funny enough - both times I was there it was too cold to go to a pool! Once was in late October and it was snowing! The other was February and it wasn't cold, but it definitely wasn't hot, either!

Now that we're here, I don't think we'll get the randoms posting like we did on TB and I'm going to miss that. Obviously I love you ladies, but a random person that stumbles across the board and bumps up a 1 year old thread, would bring some different flavor for the day.
Vegas is not appealing to me in the least. Just not at all.
Me either. I've only been once on a girls trip, we were 21 and went for a concert. We had a blast because we were together, but we could have done that anywhere. I don't gamble and it was really all to chaotic for me. That said, if there was ever a place for us to go, reasonably cheap, to see a show that doesn't come to Canada (or at least AB) Vegas would be the place to go. I can fly and stay there for 3-4 days for about as much as it would cost me just to fly to a number of other venues. So at some point, we will probably go back. Plus the shopping was fantastic!

I didn't really like Vegas either. I will say however, that I'm glad we went (once) just so I could see what it was about... I get why everyone says you have to go at least once. I would never go back though, and if I had to, I would spend minimal time in the heart of Vegas, and spend all our other time in the awesome parks that are outside of Vegas. I really want to go see The Wave at Coyote Buttes...
Darnit, my image won't show up. Google it... seriously. It's worth it.
Another FFFC, although not juicy... after everything that went down on TB, I can't think of pie the same way. I've had pie the last two days, and I keep wanting to say, "Where do you eat your pie?", or, "come to the new pie place!"! Weird...
