I'm not currently an EPer, but considering moving in that direction. I have a 7 week old and have been struggling with what we thought low supply but might actually be a milk transfer issue.
I have a 3 year old and it is difficult to pump frequently enough to EP while keeping her entertained. Does anyone have any tips for frequently pumping with a toddler around?
I just read someone on parenting saying they put the kiddos in the car, hooked up hands-free with a power adapter/battery, and drove around and pumped.
Probably not good for every session if your EPing, but if you're desperate.
My DD1is 3, DD2 is 7m, and while it is tough to care foe both kids and pump, you learn to deal with it. I can't use a hands free bra, it just doesn't work for me, so add that to challenges. For some people 'quiet time' activities or 'sit beside me' activities like reading, stickers, coloring etc might work. My DD is super rambunctious and physical so she never sits still beside me. I just let her roam and slightly direct what she does. She plays with blocks, trucks, dolls, runs around, jumps on the couch. We toss plush toys, balls etc. whatever. It's tough but you deal with it. I can't wait to be done though so I can play with her again.
One piece of advice - make sure to visit the Exclusive Pumpers! board on babycenter. That board is amazing! The wealth of info and great advice those ladies have is amazing! You can learn so so much from them.
