Thanks everyone. Update is everything is fine! It took a while toget back but baby is measuring on time just shifted I guess. Definitely a boy and right now the estimate is 5 lb 14 oz. she said he would probably be about 7.8 when born. I know those can be way off but at least he is fine. I measured behind with Patrick too but this one has been way more stressful and I just worry so much. I'm trying not to but it is hard. also his head is on my pelvic bone so that explains the pain.
What is your plan for baby #2 when you are in labour? I don't have a great support network of family/friends in the city where I live (we moved here a few years ago for work), so I'm not sure I'll be able to find someone. DD will have daycare, but if we leave in the middle of the night on a weeknight, we might not be able to easily get someone to help. Should I ask a family member to schedule a visit? Should I look into a temp nanny service or a doula to be my birth coach if DH has to be with our daughter in the end?

We have family in the area but it is my IL's. For #2 I hired a doula again. This way H can focus on E and getting her to the IL's, keeping her distracted, or shuttle her to DC. I know some people labor with their children around so maybe that is an option for you. It is not for me since I moan, scream, and cry. I do not want E to see that and get scared. I would consider a doula or every maybe hiring someone as a baby sitter. Just let them know ahead of time that it may be a MOTN, random hours job to be sure it fits for their schedule.
aylafsu1881 I also did a lot of screaming and crying when I gave birth to DD, so I don't think I'd like her there, lol. My labour was pretty quick, so I didn't have an epidural and it's possible this one could be even faster.

Ok where have you all found maternity shorts/capris that fit you good? I bought some from old navy online and the shorts part fit fine, but where the stretchy meets the shorts is super loose and baggy. I feel like they will only fit right when I'm huge and that's November. I need some for now. I hate buying online because of this reason.

I bought mine from destination maternity. I was about as far along last summer as you are now and the shorts fit me pretty well. They weren't expensive either.

I got a pair from Destination Maternity and a pair from Old Navy, but my favorites were a big of a splurge from Ann Taylor Loft. I got these ones:
I had my bloodwork on Monday and haven't heard anything since. That's good, right? My doctor should have the results by now I would think, so I'm just going by no news is good news.

I would say yes. My doctor never called me about my blood work because it always came back fine. I would always follow up at my next appointment and she would tell me everything looked good and she reassured me that she would call if there was a problem. I would assume the same for you
I can't believe I only have 4 weeks left! I'm ready to be done being pregnant but in not sure I'm ready for Two kids. It seems overwhelming.
Good news is that I think we have decided on a name: William. We both liked it but we're worried it was too common. I think we have decided that doesn't matter. Still trying to pick a middle name.

I like William! Nice strong name. Also I'm super jealous you only have 4 weeks left. I have 8 & I'm so so so ready to be done. Especially since we've been dealing with a bunch of house shit so I just want WINE!

Thanks guys. I think it goes well with Patrick. Both are pretty classic and have strong meanings which was important to us. Patrick's first name is John. I was looking the other day and the top most popular names of the last 400 years are john and William. Oh well, might as well keep up with the trend.
I will say that as a teacher even with the most popular names I only have about 2-3 a year. So even if it is that common not that many people have it if that makes sense. Also my H said it never really held him back. It didn't set him apart either, his personality did that. Can you tell we have been discussing this like crazy? Middle name will be after one of our grandfathers who are Luther or Courtney so it will be different.
So all day yesterday baby was moving around like crazy. This morning I realized that my head-down-since-20-weeks baby is now transverse. I'm not really worried about it--she's still got time to flip--just whining because I think she's kind of pissed that she changed positions because all day I've been feeling insane movement like she's trying to wiggle back down there. I want her head down too, but seriously, she needs to CTFD.

I like William. It's an option for our baby boy's name too.

I just need to vent for a second. The baby is sitting in a nerve and my left leg is numb and I have a string of pain up my back. I just want my body back!! I'm thinking this might be it for us. My H really wants another one but I'm too old for this shit. I'm extremely lucky that I get to have two and I know that. Just reached the point where I'm done. Luckily H is home and can chase Patrick around the park. Otherwise I would be no fun right now. Two more weeks!

tribute17, Augh. That sucks. E did that with me from 32-35 weeks. I was miserable and could barely walk. There are some exercises you can try to help baby shift and get off your nerve. If not you could always try a chiropractor who is specialized in Webster technique to help reposition you. I hear it can be really helpful.
Anyone have any recommendations for figuring out what position baby is in? She was head down for forever, and then all the sudden about 10 days ago I'm pretty sure she went transverse. Since then I think she might have gone back head down, but I'm not sure. I'm feeling all sorts of crazy movement. Lately I've been feeling movement simultaneously on my left and ride side, but above my belly button.
Any thoughts? I have my next OB appointment on Wednesday and I'm going to see what he thinks, and then probably go to a Webster certified chiropractor, but it's driving me nuts that I can't figure this out myself.

I always wonder the same thing. I don't really think there is a way to tell without an u/s to see for sure. You can ask your OB though. Maybe they can feel and tell?

sarasansh, My OB says the rule of thumb is where you feel the most movement is likely from the feet. Babies also curl up in there, so their feet are not sticking out. I feel tons of movement/kids right above my belly button on my right side. and flutters on my left side/vag area. The last couple of ultrasounds I have had showed that LO's head is down and her back is curled up on my left side. The movement on the right side are her feet/knees.
