So my sister is over and she has a new friend with her. We are all sitting at the dinner table ( about 5 people) and I was explaining the words that Isaac says. I was like he talks all the time. Then he turns and looks at her and clear as day says "I talk.". We screamed! We all heard it and I am just beyond freaked out. Where is he getting all this? I know I should be excited but I am spooked. This isn't normal. Should we be telling people to watch out with swears now?
Omg that is crazy!! And totally awesome! Yes sounds like you'll have a parrot.
I don't remember when my niece started saying words but I feel like about now she had a few maybe. By 1 year she was speaking in legit two- 3 word sentences.
That is a little unnerving. It reminds me of my oldest son. He was talking at a very early age. He also started reading at two. I remember the first word he read was cat. He sounded it out and I about fell over! Embrace it.

I feel bad for being a little spooked but he says these things that do not sound right coming from a baby's mouth. Like he started using what and why in the right context! He says it like a question! He also says "I want this or that". He mostly says I want Dada or Momma. He also responds to when I tell him our daily plans with cool or good. I feel like he really understands when I give him directions. I realize that sounds crazy.
l8rg8r - I would be interested to see if he reads early. Did you do any special programs? I read to him every night and he loves books.

I swear they really do understand! I asked ds all the time does he see kitty? And he looks for the cat and gets all excited. My ds is more into hand gestures though. But you could possibly have a Mensa member on your hands! Keep it going!!
songbirdsinging55 I always read to him and my other two as well. I also always sang the alphabet or did counting while doing diaper changes or getting them dressed. Also, we bought him the Leapfrog Letter Factory video that he was in love with. That's where he learned the sounds of each letter and thus started him reading. At the age of 3, he was reading at around a 2nd grade level. He will be 5 in September and is now reading at a 3rd-4th grade level.
