My baby's daddy is sleeping in. That was his one request. I dressed baby in her "Daddy's girl" outfit, will give him his present, and I've been considering letting him have that baby says "dada." I mean, she makes the sound all the time, regardless. But maybe today she's really saying it. happy Father's Day!

We were all out reeealllly late at a town festival/carnival thing last night. M didn't actually go to sleep until nearly midnight. So I let him sleep this morning and we're skipping Sunday school. H has to work, so we will probably just go swing at a park this afternoon or something.
DH is up and almost out the door for the day. LO was squirming restlessly in the PNP until she got her pacifier replaced. We'll see how the rest of the day goes.
On another note, LO turns 8 months in a few days. I've been ignoring the trend, but I took a good look at my pumping output. In the last month and a half, the has been a steady and pronounced decrease. I'm not quite ready to throw in the EP towel, but it again riles me up that there is plenty of excitement to "do breastfeeding", but a lack of acknowledgment that not everyone fits into the EBF 1 year or more bucket.
gldnbearz so true about not everyone making the 1yr breastfeeding goal! No matter what you decide, you are amazing for making it 8 months!!
I can't even really function today, lo was up every hour last night (!!) She has started to roll in her bed and wakes up every time. I don't know how to help this, she hadn't napped well all weekend and I'm exhausted. I'm hoping it's just a phase. I would like to blame it on teething!
So we are off to our father's day bbq's today, maybe lo will nap while we are out (it's so hard to convey sarcasm while typing!)
Drive by angry post. My inlaws are very oppressive. We were having breakfast and they moved the chairs to sit and stand around her while we were trying to feed her. Back off!
gldnbearz If there's one thing I've learned so far about parenting, it's that there is nothing that's the same for everybody. Your EP efforts have amazed me from the start! So however much longer you do it is just adding to the awesomeness. Ew, oppressive ILs jax1182014! Hope the rest of the day feels lighter- kfaye Here's to naps!!
gldnbearz I was just thinking about how much money I spent on trying to breast feed and how many women I know who couldn't do it for a variety of reasons. You've done amazing!
kfaye we had a day like that last week. It's so hard to revert to such broken sleep.
Gave a card to H, went to swimming lessons and now gearing up for all the face timing we're going to have to do. Swim lessons were not as big of a hit this week and her poor eczema on her tummy turned bright red. Still didn't cry as much as some other babies though.
gldnbearz no matter what you have come such a long way! You've done an amazing job. Be proud, you may have to supplement with formula but you're giving your baby all you've got.
kfaye those nights are the worst. I think liam struggled a bit back when he first started rolling all around. Hopefully she moves past this phase quickly
jax1182014 that's nuts. They can watch her eat from their seat on the table
pixie523 the eczema should get a bit better from the pool. It might be red but probably go away. Have you tried lotioning her more often? During flare ups he's lotioned like 3-4 times a day
We just had breakfast, Liam was adorable but slammed his nose on the table while sitting on the high chair poor thing. Little bit of crying but then he was fine. H is at the gym and I'll grab him for his sister's recital. For now liam and I are hanging out and he's pooped for the second time in a half hour.
zengal I like your idea of the "dada" for Father's Day. wildflower810 sounds like a fun night and I hope you have fun at the park. gldnbearz the other day I was thinking how I need to pump at work for another 5 months if I want to reach one year and I wanted to cry. That's only ten times a week. The fact that you've done EP for 8 months is mind blowing to me in a very awesome way. That's amazing and you should be so proud of yourself! kfaye I'm not good at conveying sarcasm on here either. But I hope she naps for you! In all seriousness. jax1182014 ugh that does not sound fun! pixie523 I hope eczema starts getting better! jjh1119 oh those poopy days can be long ones lol. Did it require new outfits too?
I was going to have breakfast all made for DH when he got home this morning, but I got sick in the middle of the night so that was not happening. He's asleep now and I get to take care of LO while feeling like shit. The "good" thing is I think it was something I ate and I'm already starting to feel better and this way LO can't get it.
sadie Hipe you feel better as the day wears on. jjh1119 Pooping party of one? That's one event none of us want to RSVP for. jax1182014 My MIL used to reach for LO and try to take her out of my hands as I started to give her a bottle. A couple of times I resorted to standing up with LO and walking out of the room to feed her and left MH deal with his mom. It's harder when feeding solids, but I think so got the message. Hope your ILs back off soon. kfaye Hope there is naptime during the BBQ. wildflower810 Have fun at the park today.

Gah, you know what freaking sucks? Having a deadbeat abusive dad who you can't quite block out on Father's Day. I'm really trying to focus on H and FIL, but it's creeping in.
wildflower810 boo to H having to work but the park sounds fun!
gldnbearz hope your day is going well. You have done an awesome job with breastfeeding and need to do what works for you. I agree there is little acknowledgement that EBF for 1 year isn't realistic for everyone.
kfaye I hope you get sleep soon and that your bbqs are fun today!
@jaz1182014 that would drive me crazy, I need my space.
I started tagging yesterday but never got a chance to finish. I hope everyone is having a great weekend! We had a bbq for our Dads yesterday at our house. It was a nice day and we didn't have to take lo anywhere. Today we went for a nice walk down town(something we did almost daily before lo but haven't done much lately) it was nice just to walk and chat. Then we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch on our way to best buy where my H picked out the TV he wanted for our patio. Quick stop at Home Depot and now home to relax all in all a great weekend!
I am taking Max with me to work tomorrow to our main office an hour and a half away...my boss has been asking me to bring him for awhile and we are having an office potluck and baby shower for a co- worker tomorrow so it seemed like a a good day to do it...not a very productive day I'm sure but it should be fun.
I hope you got in a nap pixie523, to help break up the long day. I thought we were up early for a weekend, but it was an hour and a quarter longer than you got! wildflower810 I hope you can refocus on the ones who are worth your time! I love doing things you used to do as a couple spikesmom! (Also love workdays that are more like play days!) Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend ~ How nice that the weather cleared up jjh1119! Enjoy your walk! We are headed out for ice cream- DH's request -I had nothing to do with the idea. He lost two pounds this week and I think he's celebrating:)

wildflower810 hugs dear, sounds like it could be a rough day.
Ladies glad to see many of you were having a good day.
I cooked dinner for DH and FIL tonight. BIL was super crabby during dinner but otherwise it was a good time. DH spent the day cleaning with me and putting knobs on the upper cabinets and pantry.
wildflower creepy internet hugs. I hope you were able to enjoy your day the best you could. spikesmom I hope you have fun taking your LO to work tomorrow! zengal I want some ice cream! MsNicole06 yay for getting to work on projects. Well we officially have a girl who likes to roll! She's been able to roll for a while but tonight she's done multiple front to back right to back to front and is really moving. Uh oh!
