We had such a busy weekend. Baby was baptized Sunday. Then Monday we took our older son to a local amusement park. It was really hot so we were extra glad we decided to take our baby to daycare.
We did the zoo a few weeks ago and it was great. I feel like having an older kid makes us focus our activities around him and it was clear he had a blast. It's tough to tell if the baby enjoyed it but he was not upset
I can't believe how quickly our baby is achieving milestones. Last week it was standing up, then yesterday he figures how to go from laying to sitting. He's like 2 months ahead of when his brother did these things.
Finally regarding CIO - I truly think it's different things for different kids. Our older son got more upset when we tried to comfort him. Letting him learn how to work it out himself was the only thing that worked. He is extremely attached to us and the experience of going through it clearly has not negatively impacted how he sees us. Now our little guy is so different and usually just goes to sleep. If he cries for more than 5 minutes I comfort him and he usually goes right to sleep. Sleep is not a one size fits all for sure!

are you fucking kidding me?? Dude...now I'm irrationally annoyed! FFS! People need to chill. Or pull the tree from their ass
It's hard to be part of a group and feel that I can't say what I want or disagree with someone else without getting a PM saying how awful I am. I can't go around avoiding or ignoring people, it's too much work.

Truth. I had no idea that shit was going on behind the scenes. That's fucking ridiculous considering people sit there and say we can disagree and still be friends. Uhm, bullshit. Why do we need to PM people to tell them we think their an asshole. YEAH YEAH I GET IT

DS was a total fussy butt Sunday night and all day yesterday. A mom who the daycare girls say looks like me picked up her son from DS's room. DS apparently thought it was me, got all excited to see her, played with her for a few minutes, then flipped his shit when she left with another kid. When I got to daycare an hour later, he was crying so hard he was almost hyperventilating. Poor baby. He clung to me ALL.NIGHT.LONG.
I put in the Evil Jillian Michaels DVD to get a work out in and H took DS in our room to play with him while I finished. DS did not like being away from me. I was able to calm him down some, then H gave him a bottle and got him to nap. At 6:30. Next thing I know, DS is asleep on the floor of our bedroom and H is laying next to him patting his back. I got into bed at 10pm and they were still on the floor. DS woke up a little after 11, I gave him a bottle and put him in bed. He didn't get up until 5:45am! And he was in SUCH a better mood this morning.
I do think this is teething related (isn't everything?!) and I'm ready for it to GO AWAY.

Wow, poor guy. That makes my heart sad
It was really sad! But he was sooooo happy to see me.
What type of shoe storage do you use? We need something. The bottom of our closet is ridiculous
I have a two tier shoe rack for my heels and I'm looking for a bun for my flats, flips flops and sandals. Like you, the floor of my closet is covered in shoes.

There are 2 people but I still think it's their issues with someone disagreeing with them or questioning them and I just don't have the energy for that. I only post pics of my kids in that FB group but I don't really even do that anymore. I feel bad disappearing but it's prob best. Shouldn't have even mentioned it here but oh well.
