I check-in now and again. From: Lower mainland of BC. Kids: an angel boy, Parker and am 18 weeks along with my rainbow. New: Not enjoying this heat wave we're having right now, I'm ready for winter! Favourite Canadian: Don't really have one.
I usually check this board pretty regularly but we've been moving so I haven't been around for a while.
From: rural Manitoba; currently living in southern Saskatchewan (just moved from Ontario) Kids: 11 week old boy New: the move! It's an adjustment but not nearly as big of one as moving to ON had been. SK is a lot more like home. Favourite Canadian: Christine Sinclair
I check in now and again. I mainly hang out on my BMB (May15).
From Oshawa. Rented in Oakville for a bit (as if I have 1.5mill sitting around to buy a house in Oakville). Just bought our first home north of Mississauga. New... Just momming. We welcomed our beautiful boy, Chad on May 22nd. We are already talking about number 2 and I am so torn between trying in a few months or waiting a year. Favorite Canadian... I have no idea. Tommy Chong and Dan Aykroyd are pretty great.
I have posted before but had trouble logging in for the last couple months.
I am live in South Eastern Ontario, but lived inNorthwrn Ontario and the GTA previously. Kids- Alex is two today! I have a number of losses as well. And a fur doghter named Remy who is 3 1/2. New: working on getting out of the rut I am in. Favourite Canadian. Ryan Gosling and Ryan Reynolds. ::is it hot in here?::

Hi flutterfly88! I'm also from the lower mainland....New West actually.
Do you have any advice for finding good mommy groups out this way? I'm the first to start having kids out of my group and am dying to make some mommy friends

I'm just across the river from you I haven't explored any mommy groups, but if I was going to, I'd start by checking out the library and the city's parks & rec programs.
@tifga and obi.... mississauga gal over here. Howdy neighbors
Howdy. We'd be in Miss too if it weren't so crazy populated, H works there but we decided the commute north was worth living somewhere we really wanted to be. Plus, anything nice in Miss was out of our budget. Looked at Brampton but felt similar about it. Then found out they don't allow work trucks parked at residences so that x'd that option lol. Just kept going north and north and north until something worked lol.
I do wish we lived closer to Playdium though haha.
OH and I know I posted a thread but I'm spamming the shit out of this so
Please vote Shelburne, ON once per device, per day, until Aug 17th! Free Tim Hicks/Road Hammers concert goes to the winner and it is between Shelburne and Lacombe AB, so... Shelburne really needs help lol. www.coorsbanquet.ca/en/oht

I just found this board! I'm usually over on May '15 BMB.
From: Toronto (downtown)
Kids: a 3 year old and a 3 month old
New: I'm really enjoying summer in the city this year but all of this back to school garbage in the stores is making me sad about it being over. I feel like it just started!

Favourite Canadian: Sarah McLachlan
How are you enjoying this weather?
haha it is crazy hot! I try to remember how awful the winter is so that I don't complain too much. It is tough with a baby in this weather though - I feel like she must get way too hot in the car seat!
We went to the beach yesterday. Sad to say that was my first time EVER putting my feet in Lake Ontario!
Hiya. I lurk over here from time to time. I'm mostly on my BMB May 14
From: Southwestern Ontario (London/Windsor Area)
Kiddo: a 16 month adorable girlie
New: 16 months later and I am still exhausted. So I've joined a beginners running group. It starts in a couple of weeks. I'm getting scared...I'm so not a runner!
Favourite Canadians: L.M. Montgomery, Meaghan Follow, Christopher Plummer, Sarah Richardson, Bob Rae, Jean Chrétien and Chris Hadfield (I should really figure how to cut that down...)

Good for you for joining the running group! I always tell people that if they ever see me running they should run too because something REALLY scary is chasing me.

kittyriot good for you for started running! I also have just started as I am also just not a runner (I blame my big bewbs) but I just started the couch to 5 k program.
Hello, another lurker. Late on the wagon mostly because I thought my non-mom status meant I couldn't post.
From: Southeastern Ontario but we live in Northern Ontario(we're barely north IMO).
Kids: None
New: I just found out I got a job at the local university, which is awesome! The less awesome part is how everyone is now saying "You're going to stay here!" Which umm no... we don't plan on settling here.

I'm around! More lurking in the shadows than anything else. Why did no one tell me how exhausting life with two kids can be
But seriously, my toddler is insane and has started noticing when I'm on my phone and asks me to put it down and play. I'm trying to be more conscious of my Internet use now.
What's new is winter decided not to show up yet so we're trying to do little outdoor adventures and have a busy few weeks of travel for the holidays. My STTN baby started waking once or twice which isn't ideal, along with my nearly 3 year old who doesn't want to sleep in his own bed anymore.
Hope all you other Canadians are enjoying the warm winter! Anyone have exciting holiday plans?
