I moved Isaac into his nursery last night. So far 4 wake ups. One with his piano colors. I could see the light on, he was on his tummy propped up playing. This is so hard. All I want to is bring back into our bed and snuggle until he sleeps.
Thinking of all the sick mommas and babies today. Hoping everyone gets some rest.
songbirdsinging55 last night DD woke up several times but put her paci in on her own and went right back to sleep. After 2 weeks we might be adjusted to the crib. She's up now and DH is feeding her but we did 8 hours in the crib. When I only have to roll over and watch her in the video monitor pop the paci in I call it sleeping through the night because I could easily go back to sleep. Good luck with your transition.
I've been putting baby to sleep in the crib for 9 days now. Sometimes it's been a real effort, and sometimes she has gone right to sleep. Either way, she wakes up riiiight about the time I'm going to bed and will not be consoled until I bring her to bed for the snuggles. So that's how our nights have been going recently.

When we were first transitioning Levi to the crib he would sleep the first stretch in his crib and then I would usually bring him in our room at about 1 am (his first wake time). We would try and stretch that time longer and longer until he eventually was in his room the whole night. I am not sure if this was the right thing to do or not but it seemed to work for our LO. He was 4 months at the time so it might be different now because these babies are getting smarter and smarter.
MsNicole06, I can't wait for the day when Levi will be able to put his paci in by himself at night. He does it just fine during the day... but I think he has a hard time finding it at night(I've even put like 5 in there at a time yeah still doesn't work) . Even if I have to go in and stick his paci in at night... I still count it as sleeping through the night. If I don't have to pick him up he "sttn" in my mind.
Thinking of all the sick mommies and babies on our board. Hopefully you all are starting to feel better!!
I am hopeful singingmama10 that our transition to the crib goes similarly! Then again, my sister told me this weekend that she had each of her girls in bed, attached to her boob, until they were a year or so. And so did all the breastfeeding moms she knows. So that's consolation if it doesn't go so smoothly?

I might just be the only N14 mom with her baby still in her room. M is in his co-sleeper and I'm not motivated to move him. Especially not after last night when he choked or something and I startled awake to him coughing and gagging. I don't remember a whole lot other than grabbing him and sitting up in bed with him... he's fine now, but boy was I glad I wasn't running into a different room to get him!
H had both days of the weekend off for the first time since Easter. He probably won't get another day off at all until around the end of July. It's going to be a long month.
wildflower810 baby finally outgrew the bassinet, so that was my motivation. She sleeps about an hour or two in the crib, and then the rest in bed next to me. The coughing and gagging is so freaking scary!! And precisely why I prolonged the "move" too!
Hugs to the sick moms and moms with sick los, I hope everyone is on the mend.
songbirdsinging55 I hope the nursery transition goes smoothly for you both!
zengal good luck, I hope you can get lo transitioned. I tried and we had inconsolable crying and hours of laying him down just for him to wake up 10 minutes later crying. I finally gave up and am co-sleeping full time which is something I said I would never ever do but my life is so much better now! I don't dread his bed time and I get a lot more sleep even though lo does the majority of his nursing at night still.
wildflower810 that sounds terrifying, glad he is ok! I have no plans to transition lo anytime soon (tried and gave up) we now co sleep and probably will for a while!
We are enjoying our trip but I'm ready to head home tomorrow (I'm a homebody at heart). Hoping the flight home goes as smoothly as the flight here.
We are taking lo to the national zoo today and probably for a photo in front of the White House (our hotel is only 3 blocks from the White House which is cool).
singingmama10 DDs paci is clipped to her she finds the cord and tugs to get the paci now. We used just put the circle of paci around her but this works better now.

I am a firm believer of "what makes mom happy, makes baby happy" and "whatever you need to do, do it" There are hundreds of things that I said "I would never do" that I do ALL THE TIME!
MsNicole06, I used to use the clip but he was pulling on the cord and that would make it fall out more often. Eh.... whatever. Hopefully he'll get the hang of it sometime. Last night he didn't wake up at all (WHOOOO HOOOO!!!!) We're having more and more nights like this... so hopefully the trend will continue.
wildflower810 Nope, you're not the only one who still has baby in the room. LO is in the PNP in our room. She's noticing more and more that she's lost the pacifier in the middle of the night.
In the last week, she's been going to bed earlier, about 9pm. This weekend, she barely napped twice each day, for no longer than 30-40 minutes. I miss the 1-2 hour naps. I don't mind the earlier bedtime, but they are accompanied by 5am-ish wake ups. Ouch, ouch, ouch.
Hope all the sick babies and mommas get some rest today.

We are team partial co-sleeper. LO goes to bed in his crib and after the first wake up (which can be anywhere from 10 pm to 2 am) he ends up in our bed. Though we've had really warm weather recently and his room is the hottest in the house, so he sleeps in his PNP in our room. Last night we had an impressive thunder storm at 3 am so not only did LO end up in bed with us, but so did our dog (who hasn't joined us in our bed in a long time). I cancelled my early morning calls and we went to bed at 9 pm. DH and I are feeling much better today, just ridiculously sore from ... well from being ill and laying around. LO was so good yesterday and played happily while DH and I laid around trading off on who could close their eyes. I feel pretty well rested today and am looking forward to my mom coming over so I can catch up on work and maybe even clean our house a little.
songbirdsinging55, I thought I would have moved DD to her nursery by now too, but it's across the house and I just can't bring myself to do it yet so she's still in a pnp in our room at night. It's so hard making those transitions. Hang in there mama!
gldnbearz, we're kind of in the same boats with a new bedtime and earlier wake ups. DD goes to bed around 9:30/10-ish now which is nice, but it means she's getting up much earlier than she used to. I hope your LO starts getting longer naps and later wake-ups again!
Last night was the last round of concerts for this big music festival. It was so loud we would hear it booming in our house during the wee hours. Thankfully everyone is heading home from it today so things will get back to usual for us. We got some craziness from it at work, but it definitely went better than I was expecting.
wildflower810 my lo is still in our room too! She's in the pnp pulled right up to the bed. I'm glad these days because she's been sleeping on her tummy and it makes me so nervous! She can roll over but I still worry.
gldnbearz I feel you on the early wake up time. My lo usually goes down super early at 7 and is up for the day at 5. It's tough, I just try to go to bed early myself.
Af seems to be making her grand re entrance today, but just barely. I asked a rn at work and she said they are usually pretty heavy when they first come back that it could be something else....oh lord it can't be bfp again...right?! I thought ebf would keep all that at bay. sorry for the tmi this morning!
The nighttime pacifier troubles make me glad my LO won't take one anymore. Occasionally I've tried giving it to her, and she thinks it's just another toy. She turns it around and chews on the side of it. Haha. Although it was nice when she was little and I could put the paci in her mouth to get her to fall back asleep without picking her up. That would never work now!
+1 for different bedtime/wake up times. LO still goes to bed around 9:30, but she has started to sleep later in the morning, like until 8 or 9. So she wakes up to nurse around 3 and 6 lately, but goes back to sleep instead of being up for the day at 6! (Now that I said this, she'll be ready to party tomorrow at 4am lol)
LO finally pooped just now after 3 days. She's never gone that long in her life, and was cranky all morning because of it. Now she's happily nursing to sleep for a nap. Looking forward to a happier afternoon!

Had a playdate over the weekend with my BFF and her nephew who was sleeping over so his parents could have a date night. He's almost 11mo old. They left him with written out instructions for feeding, sleeping etc and etc, but BFF says he only poops like once a week. She was asking me about LO as a comparison and I couldn't really answer her! I could count on one hand over the past 8mos where he went a day without going, but he usually goes at least once a day. Anyone with once a week poopers?? Weird, or not weird??
I'm turning into a dirty lurker and I don't like it! Lol salon summers are busy and so is the busy-ness of town fun leading up to the Fourth of July.
Still crappy sleep here. Liam may have slept two hours or so in his crib the last few nights. Poor little guy can't stay asleep much lately.
When Liam was a newborn he pooped maybe twice in his first month after meconium. He poops roughly once a day now though. Since solids. Before that who knows- it was unpredictable

+1. Stupid work. Trying to keep up with the randoms, failing miserably.
My girl woke up at 5am and silly me tried to bring her into bed. After she clawed my hair, poked my eyes, and pinched my nose shut, I conceded to change her diaper and give her a bottle. I almost had her back asleep until I lost her in the transfer to the PNP. I left her there and fell back asleep.
At some point, she fussed and I brought her bsck to bed. This confused MH because it was already after my alarm clock had gone off. I have no recollection other than waking up almost an hour after the alarm, with a baby cuddled up next to me. Wth? Not a good way to start the work week.
Lurking lately too. Between sick baby and vacation days my online time is super limited. Tomorrow we're going to eat a fancy lunch and lamp shop for wall sconces. Today we cleaned the apartment, kissed without rushing and now watching some tv prior to picking up Lo.
We're at almost every day pooping littleapplemom. She used to never skip a day, but she does now. I always anticipate with dread the next one when we go a day without! jjh1119 awesome pictures! And I hope you enjoy the busy season? pixie523 your tomorrow sounds fancy from beginning to end- ooooh sconces! MH and I are starting a 30-day high-intensity interval training challenge today. You know he's lost a few pounds and it has apparently gone to his head. Crazy man said, "I'm going to show you how it's done." It's officially a challenge now
zengal H thinks he is in waaaaayyyy better shape than I am now because he goes to the gym one to two times a week lol. He keeps thinking when we go hiking and I wear liam that I'm never going to handle it. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. Every time

kfaye, I've had two PP periods and they were both waaaaayyyy lighter than before I was pregnant. No cramping, either. Oh, and ebfing here, so there's that.
I have a once a week pooper!! The longest he's gone is 10 days. Even now on solids he's only going every 6-7 days. We give him probiotics every day and he never seems upset... he just is digesting, I guess. When it comes though.... eeeeeeesh.
We have an every day to every other day pooper... Used to be 1-2 times per day but has decreased since solids.
I'm laying in our hotel bed snuggling my lo while my husband is out having drinks with his sister and bil and all I can think is how lucky I am and that there is no where I'd rather be and nothing else I'd rather be doing. Sometimes I can't believe I'm lucky enough to have such a precious little boy....apparently I'm feeling mushy tonight :-)
