In honour of Canada Day let's show some patriotism and post what makes us proud to be a bunch of pet beaver owning, overly polite, igloo dwellin' hosers.

I'm proud of our free health care. That we get a year off for maternity leave. I'm proud of all our wilderness!

Too many things to list, but I love the fact that when I'm overseas people assume I am a nice person and are often excited to meet/ talk to Canadians. I've traveled with a lot of Americans and it's shocking how differently they are treated.

Absolutely! Last time i went to Ireland i had 3 separate occasions where i was asked if i was from the US. Every time i said Ontario they apologized like they had seriously offended us. We said it was fine but they insisted they were REALLY sorry haha.

I would not have survived my pregnancy without poutine. And i could not imagine having to pay some whack insurance premiums/deductibles and other crazy expenses.
My total medical bills were $40... And that was to upgrade to a private room.

I hear ya! The thought of having to pay for everything kinda disgusts me. Like only rich people can have good health care. I can't even imagine

Obviously health care and maternity leave. Also, I have a new appreciate for no-fault car insurance. Seems silly, but I've heard some horror stories around here from Americans who couldn't replace car seats or get cars repaired because of the way the system works.

Healthcare, non arrogance and a decent education system. The lack of basic knowledge that is so prevalent across some countries (aka south of the 49th) is shocking.

Add me to the go health care group! Especially with all the appointments etc. of pregnancy and reading what the American ladies on my BMB had to pay for/think about.
Also, yay poutine haha.
Proud military wife here, so I'll add that I'm pretty proud of our CF.
