Feeling like the worst mommy in the world right now. I made frozen bananas into ice cream and gave Isaac the tiniest of tastes. Like the tip of the spoon. I completely forgot the tsp of honey I put in. I am waiting for the pediatrician to call me. I feel so very awful. I just got home from work and wanted to try the "ice cream". I had no idea what honey can cause until google.
zengal we some times add multigrain cereal into DDs purées to thicken them up. But we don't just feed her the cereal. MIL has tried to convince DH we should mix it in her bottle at night but I've held firm on not sticking it in the bottle.
DD somehow keeps dragging herself across the floor to move to where she wants. Her feet though tend to be the pivot point so she does large arcs and circles across the living room.
zengal I give her oatmeal cereal, but she doesn't eat much.
MsNicole06 Ugh I hate the "put cereal in the bottle" advice. People tell me it'll make LO sleep longer. (She already sleeps at least 4-5 hour stretches, which I'm not complaining about. But some people apparently don't think that's good enough. Why they care is beyond me.) It especially makes no sense to me because LO never gets bottles of anything. So I'm supposed to pump, buy bottles, put cereal in them, clean the bottles, clean the pump parts, and that is supposed to help me get more sleep? lol ok.
Sorry. That particular advice just annoys the crap out of me. Probably because I've heard it so much, and from people I don't like in the first place, lol.

My ds gets cereal. But yes that advice annoys the hell out of me because it does NOT work for my kid. I found out the hard way that the no sleeping thing is just my high-needs- light -sleeper kids natural personality.
His iron should be fine but I was worried because my BM might've been really low on iron since my level was 6.5 postpartum. So now he eats cereal only when he's with his grandparents because they're still stuck in the "olden days" lol. If I want them to stop I just don't bring the cereal.
DS seems like he'd rather walk first too. But he loves playing this crawl away from me game. It makes me nervous but when I catch him he laughs so hard that I think it's a kinda cute game, still dangerous.
gldnbearz here are some. I've done the witch hazel a lot. But since it's your lips it may be harder to try a few.

I keep trying to "like" the comments and it won't let me... Makes me miss The Dumps system a bit. I still wish all that bs didn't happen. It split our whole group up *sad face*
Driving by to say hi and thanks for the good vibes yesterday. After a rough night last night Im feeling better tonight. Spent today hanging out with lo and getting ready to head up north tomorrow night after my H and I have a date day (we are going to lunch and a baseball game that I bought him tickets for our anniversary) Im trying to get excited but I hate leaving lo all day (game is 1.5-2 hours away). I know we need some couple time and lo will be fine but its still hard :-(
Anyone else have the chicco nextfit zip? We have been fighting with it for weeks trying to get the straps to tighten when lo is in the seat...they tighten easily when he is not but as soon as you put him in it becomes impossible to tighten the straps. I am beyond frustrated and ready to buy a different seat.
spikesmom I am considering buying the nextfit (not nextfit zip, but I figure they're similar) and I've read MANY reviews that warn of strap-tightening difficulties. It's making me rethink that seat and maybe going back to the research drawing board.

My kid ate SO MUCH for dinner. We had ribs, sweet potatoes, and corn on the cob. He would stick this huge amount of food in his mouth and I'd watch him, sure that he would spit most of it out like he always does, but he wouldn't! He would swallow it! Corn otc is our new favorite food/teether, too. He was really fussy going to bed, though, so I'm wondering if all the food hurt his tummy? Poor guy.
I just booked H's and mine hotel for our anniversary. We will be taking M with us... but I'm SO FREAKING EXCITED!!! We are going a few hours away to the lake, and will have a few days to just walk, beach, hike, and well, do something other than laundry.

wildflower810 - M ate so much last night, and his belly bothered him for a couple hours. I felt so bad, but he was enjoying the food so much. He ate steak, asparagus, caprese salad, and watermelon. He was fine this morning though. Poor little guys
