Happy 4th! We have a busy day (my mistake). First we are having brunch at my parents, then a BBQ with my friend and her boyfriend, then a BBQ with my brothers and their friends. The good news is, we should be home no later than 6 and can relax at home and watch A Capitol 4th on PBS, and get to bed early!
We actually had no official plans for today when we woke up this morning. DH and I decided that we should go to the zoo for a bit and then we just got a last minute invite to a cookout and fireworks tonight though so looks like we're all booked up now
Happy 4th! I'm working and so far going smoothly except being tired. DD was up in MOTN and I brought her in with us then she was up way too early. DH said she refuses to nap. It's a long day for him!
Everyone please have a drink or two for me! Have fun today!
We just did a drive by of a couple of houses that we're interested in. One is definitely being ruled out but the one we were most interested in looked good. We still don't know if we qualify for anything but it was still fun and encouraging to check them out.

Hey lads! We have been enjoying our weekend. I have lots of family in town for a wedding that's taking place tonight. DS has been in the best mood. Just squealing with joy all weekend. I'm so obsessed.
Hi, I haven't actually fallen off the face of the earth. Last week work wad super busy and I was #feelingnormal.
We stayed fairly busy yesterday. Took a trip to see Dh's grandma in the nursing home and then went to my mom's house for some lakeside fire work action.
Today has been for recovery, grocery shopping, and laundry.
Hope all is well and I hope to be around more this week.
We took the kids to the beach today. Our toddler went crazy for the ocean and our baby was all over the sand. Crawling on it, standing up in it, trying really hard to eat it. Great day but exhausting.
Hey lads. We had a busy weekend here. Hung out and watched a movie at home on Friday night. Saturday we took dd to her first parade. She liked the tractors and the horses. Then we walked around the festival for awhile. Came home and took a 2.5 hour nap. Then went to a BBQ with my family. Then dh and I watched fireworks while dd slept in her carseat.
Today we went to church and dd made a friend who also left the service because she was also being noisy. Then went to a celebration lunch for my cousin's baby who was baptized today. Then we went swimming which dd LOVED!
I do not want to go back to work. I would love a whole week off. Hard to do when I have basically no vacation time built up since I had to use all of it to get paid on maternity leave.
I'm here today. We had a busy 4th and I drank way too much. Definitely paying for it today.
DS has changed so much overnight. I swear he learned a million new things and has now turned into a kid as opposed to a baby. He started waving, trying to stand up alone from a crawl, putting puzzles together, and trying to say words. It's so cool to see him but makes me so sad he's growing up so fast.

I hear you on all the changes. DS took a step away from the couch today while DH was playing him. WTF! Not ok! I'm haunted every day by my mom reminding me that I started walking at 8.5 months, which would be next week for DS. I seriously hope not. We so aren't ready. Other changes I'm a bit relieved about. He is now eating small pieces of food and will eat some purees. I was worried it was going to be mesh feeder for life. He's also sleeping better and going down more easily, which could be a fluke, but I'm enjoying the hours of my life back after 2 months of fighting every nap and bedtime. How is DS doing with the iron supplement? I've been thinking of you lots since you found out.

He hates it but we try to make it a game for him. I have to give it to him mixed in orange juice because the vitamin c helps it absorb better. We usually play a little peek a boo with a quick squirt of it in his mouth. But so far so good! Thanks for asking
On another note. DS also got another 2 teeth. So now we have 8 teeth in and 4 molars breaking through. It's insane.
