We set up a tent in the yard, brought out the pnp, and did yard work all together - the dog even joined us! MIL came over to visit. We've just been having a grand old Sunday! I was surprised that no one started this yet, but it makes me think (hope) that the day is going well all around!
Princess Fussypants is her new nickname. Not sure what the issue is, but not napping probably is a big factor. She's also being fussy about eating.
Maybe too much brain activity. We walked the dog on Friday morning then ran a series of errands in the afternoon. Yesterday, we went out to the park for a 4th of July concert. When we came home, she was an absolute mess. This morning she was up at 5am and the adults are ready to keel over. So is she. At one point, she fell asleep in the high chair. That lasted all of 25 minutes.
Is it sad that I'm looking forward to daycare lady tomorrow?
What a crazy busy weekend! I am finally relaxing with H on our couch watching family feud lol.
We had a way past bedtime night Friday night but liam woke up early Saturday so we got home for his bath and bed routine. We got up early today and went to the beach but he wouldn't nap. He finally did a 20 min nap on me. It was lovely to cuddle with him in the tent. It was perfect, as felt a nice breeze and the temp felt very comfortable. Then I moved my arm a centimeter and he woke up lol
We had a bbq straight after that and liam only slept for 20 min in the car. We thought he would sleep in the PNP at my moms but be wouldn't. We came home at 5 and he took a quick nap and then we went down for the night at 8.
He loves the beach like his mama. Hope everyone has a good night tonight and has an easy transition into "normal" routine

I had a wonderful day with Isaac. We went swimming and he loved it. After I went shopping and 2 random girls called me fat and said I should wear more clothes. I thought I wasn't that big. I wanted to say something but didn't. I was wearing shorts and a sleeveless shirt. I wanted to say I am working on it. Screw people
gldnbearz nothing wrong with work being a little break.
DD, DH, the dog, and I all took a nap in the bed and it was glorious. However LO is currently melting.
DH is at his poker game and I'm on my own with her. DH already joked that LO will be in his spot when he gets home. I agree if he's not her at bedtime I like her close so I don't have to worry about her being so far away.
songbirdsinging55 Those girls do not deserve an ounce of your time or consideration!! They have no class or even a shred of decency. You know you're working on it and do not have to justify anything to them. I'm so sorry people can be so awful.
songbirdsinging55 What the heck? Those girls were probably just trying to find someone to tear down in order to try to make themselves feel better. How rude and immature.
Once, a coworker of mine had a customer say to her, "Wow, you need to do something with your hair." We were SHOCKED that someone would just be so outright mean like that! And she had pretty hair! It made no sense!
I am having such a rough time with breastfeeding lately. I really don't want to quit, but it seems like there's always something wrong lately. Today I've had the worst clogged duct ever. It hurts to carry LO, and even to wear a seatbelt in the car. She kicks and punches my boob while I'm trying to position her to nurse, and it is infuriating because it hurts so much. I pumped the other side so that I could keep nursing on the clogged side, and then it seemed like she was still hungry but not getting anything from the clogged side. But then I had just pumped the other side, so she couldn't get anything from that either. So, I tried feeding the pumped milk to her in a bottle, but she wouldn't take it. I think it's been too long since she's had a bottle, she doesn't remember what to do with it. Anyway, now she is finally nursing to sleep (hopefully). The house is a complete disaster because I can't bring myself to do any housework with this pain. I hope it goes away soon, but I'm worried it will just get worse overnight. So yeah... thanks for listening to me vent.
Oh nerdalert.. I've never had a clogged duct so I hope it gets better quickly. Have you tried that side first when breastfeeding? Ive heard they do their best on the first boob and I have also heard they can unclog ducts. As for getting kicked and punched, same thing happens to me. It can be hard and I usually have to just relax and walk away.
Uck nerdalert. Clogged ducts are no fun! Did you try feeding her before you pump? I know you've probably tried everything, just thought I'd throw that out there. It's so miserable waiting. Hopefully it gets gone soon!! And uh, the housework can totally wait.
Yeah, my thought was that I could pump the good side and feed from the clogged side extra. She only takes one side at a time now. So I fed her on the clogged side 3x in a row, and I feel like it helped some. Definitely not all the way fixed though. I hadn't pumped since January, and figured I never would again (at least for this LO), but I'm trying everything over here.
Thanks for the ideas. I already do hot packs and Advil and frequent feeding, and those 3 things are usually most effective for me. Pumping the affected side makes it worse and I've never had much luck with massage.
songbirdsinging55 Wtf is wrong with people?? That's none of their business.
nerdalert I hope the clog clears up quickly. Hot pack, hot shower, massage with an electric toothbrush - strategies that give me varying degrees of success.
