Spent most of the night "sleeping" on the couch holding LO up right to help her breath. It's going to be a rough re-entry into real life from vacation today!
pixie523 I'm sorry your LO is still sick. Poor thing! When my little guy was really stuffed up I had him sleep in out swing since it keeps him somewhat upright. I would put it in the living room and then sleep on the couch next to him. It wasn't quality sleep since I was keeping an eye on him, but better than it would be if I was trying to hold him.
Today is indeed a rough re-entry! DH had his alarm turned up way loud, and he likes to hit snooze. So I have been up for a long long time already. On a positive note, baby has been wanting to sleep in her own bed a little more. I mean I'm a little sad about it too, but I know it's a good thing. It made me finally install the monitor yesterday! pixie523 no fair that you were trying to recover and then had to sleep sitting up! nerdalert I thought of one more trick for clogged ducts--> dangle feeding! Lay baby down flat on the bed, so that you can dangle your bubbies and let gravity help get that clog cleared! Awkward, but it always helps me (if you didn't already try it; sorry if you have!).

Work is actually going well today. My temp contract is coming up so I am just waiting for my offer.
Isaac turned 8 months yesterday. Here are a few of my favorite pics. He now has 8 teeth and working on one more. He can clap and take steps in a walker. Both feet at once lol.

I did this exact same thing when my LO was stuffed up. The swing was the only way I got any sleep for like 3 weeks.
zengal I actually haven't tried actual dangle feeding yet, but I do lean forward when I nurse and hold her head in my hand instead of cradling her. I think it seems to help. Today I'm a little sore, but much better.
Today we're working on moving things into storage and hopefully some more packing. It's a very slow process with a baby, I'm glad we started early!
Some days, between the dog and LO, it's like having two kids in the house. We have coordinate two feeding schedules, potty breaks, naps, and entertainment.
This was an exhausting 3 day weekend. Memorial Day wasn't this bad. Maybe LO wasn't as demanding.
songbirdsinging55 8 teeth seem like so many. I was excited DD had 2! The solids she could eat with 8 teeth.
@ pixie523 hopefully your LO is feeling better. I've also done the sleep in the swing when baby is stuffy and it was so helpful.
Stopped at school and met the new school secretary. She's doing a much needed deep purge of the school office. I'm hoping it will be much cleaner this year.
At lunch DD decided she feed herself which means a bath had to happen. She had purée every where. She had so much fun playing in the water that I think it's time for tub toys.
Man, I wish LO would sleep in a swing. She never ever ever would sleep in the mamaroo. The big issue is she doesn't like to be on her back when she sleeps. Hopefully after some good steaming tonight and all the booger sucking she'll be able to get some rest. I'm super blurry eyed and over today, but I'm more worried about her getting some good sleep so she can get better.

Hi everyone! I'm back from the mountains. We had a great weekend, but M really hates his car seat. I think I'm going to start looking at s convertible even though he is still well within the height and weight limits of his infant seat.
Sorry about clogged ducts and sick babies.
My little guy has a red butt from all the new food he had over the weekend. The long car trip didn't help. Poor guy. I let him play outside today on a blanket without a diaper.
I have my first OB appointment today and Myles is coming with me. I never thought I'd have to take my 7 mo to a pregnancy appointment!
I hope you're all getting through your Mondays smoothly.
pixie523 I call it a health food cake, even though the recipe calls it "Piggy Cake." (That's a terrible name, isn't it?) It's so easy. A box of yellow cake mix, 4 eggs (protein!), a little oil (but you could use applesauce), a can of mandarin oranges (vitamin C!). Mix it up and bake at 350 for about a half hour. The icing is a big can of drained crushed pineapple (more vitamin C and potassium! And fiber!), mixed with a packet of instant vanilla pudding, and then fold in a big tub of cool whip. I dream, I know. But calling it healthy makes me feel better about eating three pieces in a row.
You guys. I am SO busy and the fact that I can't do anything on tapatalk makes posting and keeping up so hard! I need to get this straightened out, I miss you guys!!
pixie523, I hope she feels better soon! Poor little lady
zengal, dangle feeding sounds interesting, lol. That cake sounds very yummy. I can justify that as healthy, too
MsNicole06, we have a self feeder over here. EVERY meal is a hot mess. If she likes to feed herself, naked feeding is where its at. Then sixty seven wipies or a sink wipe down and you're good to go lol
songbirdsinging55, How cute is Isaac! 8 teeth?!?! We have none over here lol. That doesn't stop him from eating. I use my Munchkin brand baby grinder and it gets things nice and small for things like green beans or chicken or something. For other things, we just chop things really tiny. If i give him a chunk of something he tries to put the whole thing in his mouth and it makes me nervous. Small bites are much easier for us over here. You'd be surprised how well he can chew and swallow.
nerdalert, Glad the duct is starting to clear away.
wildflower810, pumpkin or butternut squash gets some good poops going, too. Those are my go to's for poops
spiraltheory, how exciting! Is today a dating ultrasound or just first ob blood work?
Liam's convertible car seat came in today. I have it in the room to test out the straps and get it all fit to him. Then installation and passing along the britax to my mom. She will have it until he outgrows it. His carseat is good for 35 lbs and 32 inches! Plenty of time still. She will use it like a convertible, though. It's so heavy with him in it.
I got him a baby pool and we played in it today. He's taking an extra afternoon nap but we have another dinner out tonight for a farewell to our family going back home. Tomorrow H and I have a date night- french food and a beatles tribute band! Liam is sleeping over my parents for the first time. I'm nervous about leaving him there and am even bringing the angelcare monitor there. H and I will sleep more comfortably knowing that they have that extra bit of monitoring. Then off to the cape tomorrow!
In the meantime, still back at work, but my parents are on vacation this week so trying to spend some extra time with them.

Sitting in my car while Myles sleeps after my doctor appointment. jjh1119 - it was just an exam and blood work today, but I was able to get in for a dating ultra sound tomorrow. Myles did pretty well at the appointment today. I just brought lots of toys. I had some serious déjà vu.
During IVF and IUI treatments, I put off getting new work pants as all the meds packed on some weight. Now, I'm so sick of the pants that fit awkwardly. I don't like trying clothes on, but need suggestions for business casual work pants. I'm on the tall end if petite where a 29.5-30" inseam works. Waaaay too many petite pants are too short, but a 32" regular is way too long. Why must I buy longer pants then pay for someone to hem? I am useless with a needle.

You are all so sweet for your encouragement and excitement. I'm very happy about this new bebe, and it makes me so excited for Myles that he'll have a little person to play with.

I'm tall, so I don't know what it's like to have to hem anything lol. But I feel you on not being able to find anything that fits right now.
zengal Shoes are my other problem. Heels are rough as I walk amount lugging all the work gear, lunch, and now pump stuff. Bag lady is my middle name. Lol.
