It's kinda slow so I just decided to create a new thread. In a couple other threads we have briefly touched on gear and strollers. Do any of you moms already have a double stroller?
I pretty much had decided on the Britax B Agile stroller, and it's slightly cheaper than the City Mini and looks the same. I like that it's side by side. But, I have a Chicco car seat and would have to just fully drop down the seat reclined as far as it can go and lay baby in it, because it will only take a Britax car seat.
Someone mentioned the Uppa baby Vista system. So now I'm debating this one, and the reason I'm asking so early is because if I decide on this one then I need to start saving up for it now! Holy $$$. This would never be a side by side stroller, will I not like that when baby is a bit bigger and could sit up with/next to DS in a stroller? And with baby coming in Feb (it's dead of winter here) we won't get out on walks for a couple months, so we'd only use it if I take the kids shopping, which is out of town for me. So will I really utilize the bassinet enough before I'm going to have to drop more $ to buy the 2nd toddler seat?!

How old is your DS?
My DS is going to be 32-ish months when this LO comes along, and I plan on primarily wearing the new baby. We don't actually use a stroller all that much to begin with (I just have a jogging stroller that we pull out for walks every once in a while), and I figure DS will be old enough to get by without a stroller most of the time at that point.
I guess it depends on how much you see using it. If like you suspect, it won't be much, I couldn't justify spending the $$$. If I were going to use it for hours every day, then I might, but I don't think it sounds like that's the case for you.
DS will actually be 37 months when this one comes along, just a hair over 3. So maybe he'll be on the verge of getting to big for needing it anyway. On walks essentially I could have him walk. Right now we take walks and I pull him in the wagon, but I did use the stroller a lot for walks when he was in his 1st year. I could wear the baby and still pull him in the wagon as well. This would mainly be for of we go out of town and are shopping in a mall or going to the zoo or things like that, which as I mentioned is all out of town for us so it's not occurring all the time.
DS will be 3.5 when baby is born. I bought a sit and stand from a friend of a friend for cheap and it was practically brand new. I'm not sure how often we will use it since DS already refuses the stroller most of the time and I plan on wearing the baby as much as possible.
I have a couple doubles. The Britax B-Ready with second seat, it was my single travel system and I bought the second seat with #2. I loved it in the infant seat phase of both babies. Our everyday go to is the Maclaren Twin. We loved our single so much we bought the double and don't reget it. The Techno comes with a rain and boot cover for the winter months. And then we have a Double BOB, it's a beast but it's very smooth, not great for the mall, great for the beach, fair, etc. I believe UppaBaby redid the Vista to more resemble the City Select but I would not buy the older model. One kids feet practically touch the other kids face. Poor design IMO.
I'm definitely hesitant to spend that much money, since you have to spend so much more for all the add ons. I like that you can add another toddler seat and even the stander, but again that's just more money to tack on. Maybe if I go with the Britax just so I have one, I would feel better about that amount. DS will still ride in the stroller fine. In fact I can't really get him to walk in stores, if I don't bring a stroller he wants me to hold him. So I definitely need something so that I'm not only stuck with the option of holding one or the other at all times.
My friend has the Vista. She loved it for the newborn period but doesn't like it now (kids are 14 months and 3) because the kid in the top seat can kick the one in the bottom seat.
I've been really looking at this one. Joovy Caboose Too Ultralight Stroller, Black www.amazon.com/dp/B00B07STBO/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_30.Mvb6JBJC9Q My only concern is that the front seat will recline back far and force dd who would be on the bench to sit and lean forward so I need to find a store to see it at.
I think a sit and stand will be my best bet. I currently watch a 9 month old and dd is 21 months so I want something I can use now. By the time baby comes she will be 28 and it's winter so we really won't get out for a few more months.
I have a small car so that's really put a damper on my search. I have a single city mini which fits great in my car.
We also have a chicco car seat so it needs to be compatible with that.
I have the Britax B-Agile. I really like it. I also have Britax car seats, so that was a no brainer for me but it is a great stroller. Easy to manuever, easy to fold, not super heavy, fits through standard doors.
I have the britax b ready and love it so much. I used it as a single travel system when LO was little and had the infant second seat to click another infant seat when my BFF would come out with me. I plan on buying the second seat so DS has his choice of where to sit.
We do plan on finding a smaller umbrella type double once the new LO can sit up to take to theme parks. I've seen way too many people have "fancy" strollers stollen that I refuse to bring the britax b ready to the parks. We go often so this is big for us.
I'm also a huge fan of britax customer service. We had a problem with our infant seat and they same day shipped a new seat since we couldn't use the seat we had. All of our convertible seats, infant seat and stroller are britax.

I kind of was thinking that, I may have loved it had I gotten it right off the bat with DS and had it grow with us. But to get it now maybe won't be as useful.
I just bought the city select. Amazon had a deal recently (not sure if it's still going on) where you got the 2nd seat free with purchase. I have only used it as a single so far but it's pretty easy to use, the only downside is everything is extra. I will have to buy the adapter for the chicco infant seat closer to February. My DD is 19 months and loves it so I have hope she will continue to love it as she gets older.
Does anyone know if you can use the bassinet and and/or a britax b safe car seat in the City Mini double? We have the single and love it so I'd like to get the double, but not of it won't take our existing accessories.
I will definitely need a double stroller. Ds will only be 19 months at the oldest. We are looking into the bob revolution duallie because right now we have the bob motion and love it.

Their website has a great chart that will let you know if it is compatible.

How are the wheels going over grass?
I have this stroller and I love it! I second everything empireceo said. I have zero problems going over grass.

That is good to know. After reading comments and thinking about it some more, I think I'll stick with my original plan to get the Britax and will just get a newborn insert and recline the seat for those early months, since my car seat won't work with it.
