So I'm bumping this for an update in case anyone was wondering.
My brother and I went to talk to my mom, at the time we both thought it went really well. Well, a few days ago I got a chance to talk to my brother and we found out she is avoiding both of our calls and texts. I'm a little worried that we crossed a line. I feel really awful about this whole thing, I'm just going to keep trying and hope she doesn't stay mad forever.

I was thinking about you the other day. I'm sorry Shes avoiding you. Is there any hope of getting your own place soon or is that not possible? That sounds like such a tough situation to be in but definitely one that I wouldn't have kept my mouth shut about.

Actually yeah we're in our new place now. I wasn't sure if I had mentioned that or not and didn't want to be redundant. Right now I'm just hoping we can all work though this at least for my son's sake.
So happy to hear your in your new place. But I'm sorry your mom is avoiding you. You did the right thing tho, you were looking out for not only your safety but hers as well. I'm sorry but I hope that the air clears soon
I'm glad you and you brother were able to talk to your mom and you are in your new place now. I hope she comes around and starts talking to the two of you again. I think you were definitely right to approach her.

I'm sorry to hear this but I just want you to know that you did NOT cross a line. You should feel comfortable and safe where you are living even if it isn't your own home. And your brother should feel that his kids are somewhere safe and not around strangers.
I hope you mom comes around and that you can find your own place soon!

Don't worry about crossing a line, because you didn't. This is a safety issue for everyone, including her. She shouldn't be letting guys she barely knows stay at her house the entire day, let alone when she has other people (you and your family) staying there.
I'm sorry she's avoiding you guys. That does suck, and I hope she comes around quickly. And makes some changes.

This. You didn't cross a line and she's being ridiculous about it. She's only avoiding you because she knows you're right.
First, you weren't out of line at all. I will very bluntly say that it kind of astounds me that your mom doesn't "get" it.
Regardless, my advice now is to give her some time and when she does reach out, just let this issue go. You're not in the house anymore so it no longer impacts you. It doesn't need to be discussed again.
And I truly do hope that she's avoiding you because in her gut, she knows you are right and that she was being foolish.
