LO is sleeping so good tonight. He is only a day over 2 weeks old and just slept a three hour stretch, I feel like I just slept for a week! I'll take more of this over the usual 1.5-2 hr stretches we have been getting from him!
I'm up and its 2:30 here. There's no reason for me to be up but I think I heard the cat walking around (I'm normally a heavy sleeper but I've been hearing my son cough, so I've kind of been on alert. But now I'm hungry, not sure if I should just get up and eat but my husband can hear a pin drop while he's sleeping, but he's probably awake too since he's sleeping next to ds.

5am here, and maybe this is becoming a thing? Last night S slept until 5 after his midnight feeding. 11:30 was S' last feeding. Here's hoping for that!! It feels a heck of a lot nicer than just 2-3 hrs. . My mama's coming tomorrow
I have 4 little bears, just like my name says. 2 girls 2 boys ages 8,5,3, and my newest babe. 2 of my little bears have life threatening food allergies, feel free to ask me more about that!
My grandmother is still staying with us. She offered to take the baby for a night and we asked her to do it last night. First full night of sleep I've gotten (minus a pee break) since October.
When I went in to take the baby from my grandmother, she told me he only woke up twice- we put him down just after 9p, up at 1:30 and 6. Little stinker. He's also up to 3 oz of formula last night. Kid is barely 5 days old!

K is currently BF'ing Z with success, after meeting with our LC yesterday. The LC was really great, and essentially told K that we are doing really well, despite the fact that she hadn't put the babies to the breast for three days, but that her supply was great and she should be able to get them to BF. It's nice to see her calmly working on it.
I took both nighttime feedings last night - 11 and 3. I actually really love the 3 a.m. - it's so quiet, and it was snowing here! Quite nice. So . . . naps all around today!

LO's days and nights are flipped. DS's naps are fewer each week. No sleep.... I got my best stretch of sleep in the last three days from 6:15-8:45am. Here's hoping DH's offer to help out tonight pulls through

robertjane33 - I'm so glad to hear that things are going better for you. We've had a little more success after seeing an LC too. Ours told us the same thing - that we did the right thing by giving my breasts a break and pumping for bottles. Hopefully things just keep getting better for us. Good luck to you both!
I pumped for 15 minutes last night and got 5 ounces! That's crazy - just a few days ago I had dropped down to barely getting two. Now I need to get some storage bags so I can start a freezer stash

Pregsomnia hit pretty hard this morning around 4:30. On the plus side I did some searching on craigslist and found an ergo for $60 that she said her son hated so it's only been used twice. I'm meeting her in an hour to pick it up . I will also be hitting a few of the thrift stores on the ritzy side of town today. Hopefully I'll find some other great deals while I'm out.

Damn headaches yesterday and the day before kept me from taking S' pictures, but also kept me from getting my props together (what little I have anyway). and since we moved I'm not even sure where they ended up, lol.

I'm currently nursing in the bathroom. Was hoping to get my hair washed then grab B and wash him up while I'm in there since he prefers the shower. But just as I was stepping in, he decided he was starving. Perfect timing, every time.

My little boy has a runny nose and it is exhausting trying to keep his germs away from DD. I can't really keep them apart though when it is just me watching them all day. And between the measles and the flu sometimes I'm scared to even leave the house.
Okay ladies, let's talk baths. When can I tub bathe this baby? His umbilical cord stump fell off a few days ago and his circumcision looks all healed. What do the emus think?
Also, dinner last night went so well! We stared at our sweet baby some and talked some and splurged and got appetizers and dessert. It was lovely and low key and I'm so glad we did it.

That's great! Breasts are really amazing sometimes.
@saiven according to what I've been told, you are good to go. We've been giving kitchen baths because our tub is a pain. We might change that soon though.

I would say good to go. Both boys got full on baths as soon as the stump fell off.
@saiven did you ever meet with an LC? How are things going?
Yes! Things are going much better. We do almost 100% of feedings at the breast now, with a shield. I'm still nervous to try without the shield but it's working for now. I'm still pumping once per day just in case but most of that milk is going to waste or going in the freezer. Makes me so irrationally sad to dump milk down the drain.

Yay! so glad things are going better for you as well. Why do you have to dump milk down the drain?

Because it's gone bad (ie, been out too long without being used). Usually we get a bottle out for one overnight feeding and I've just used my boobs. We don't end up using it within 6 hours but I'm too tired to remember to put away.
