Last night I was thinking I can't possibly be the only person completely disoriented when LO wakes up. Thought it might be funny to share some stories.
DS sleeps in a rock and play on my side of the bed, I usually give him to DH to mix his formula and then change his diaper to let the bubbles settle. Last night I gave DS to my husband and walked into Liam's room to change the baby, without the baby! (I did this twice)
Sometimes when he wakes up crying, I wake up startled because I thought he was on my lap and I dropped him. (Nope, nicely swaddled in his rnp)
I'm sure I do plenty of other things while disoriented and sleep deprived but can't remember.
I wake up almost every night thinking that I fell asleep holding him and I frantically search the bed for him before realizing he's sleeping in his RnP.

becks DH and I used to have that dream when we first brought him home. When I would hear him cry, I would get up and actually think I was already holding him or look at the bed thinking omg we let him in our bed! Nope, safely in his crib haha.
I would even hold my arms like I was holding him, or hold my pillow thinking it was him.! Crazy we all have these dreams.
During one MOTN feed, I dozed off before I even let down. This was back when DS had issues with my OALD and would unlatch until it slowed down. Well since I dozed off, I didn't catch it in the burp cloth like I normally did. I must have only been out for a minute, but when I woke up DS had milk ALL over his face and my shirt was soaked. Oops.
A few weeks ago, I had my first margarita at dinner since my BFP. Well apparently my stomach couldn't handle it and it hit me at a 3:30 am feed. I had to wake my husband up to hold a pissed off and still hungry LO while I ran to the bathroom. I could hear poor LO crying the whole time, I felt so bad! Steering clear of margaritas for awhile!

The nipples we are using on our bottles tend to leak after a couple of uses. It's fine when we are awake and paying attention... One more than one occasion for MOTN feeds we have "finished" a bottle and realized that half of it ended up on him instead of in his mouth...
