ugh, go get some rest and we will all hope that contractions either stop or really get going next time. Will they let you eat while you are there in labor at all? Can you at least sneak in some power bars?
Nope. I can't even have a drop of water. They'll let me have a trial of labor for a vbac but I can't have anything to eat in case of a cs. Which is so counterproductive. I ate and had a nap and the contractions are back to what they were.

How have you straight up not punched your doctors and nurses in the face at this point? At this point I'd be having this baby at the county jail.

This baby would be outside of me right now if no one had called my ob and just left the on call doc to handle it. She didn't care how my cervix was progressing she cared that I've been having contractions for over a week and they were intense. She's of the "well that's not good for anyone" camp.

I would be switching OB's in a game-time decision. I would have lost my shit weeks ago.
You are so strong, mama! I'd be flipping shit on your OB about how long you've been dealing with all of this... FX for an outside baby soon or some real relief!
I said it before, but it needs said again. Your OB is a BITCH! Put her off the roster and call the on call doc as the player. If/when you go back in, I would request that they never call your OB again. I am so sorry that you have such an insensitive doc.

Your doctors make me angry. Like they can't possibly do anesthesia on a person who has eaten or drunk anything? What do they think is going to happen? It seriously isn't that much of a concern.
Because nobody goes in for an emergency c section on a full stomach? Maybe they don't understand the term "emergency" c section. Dumbasses. Hang in there girlie, you got this. I want to read that this baby is out by the end of the day. Jeesh!!

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I had contractions for weeks before they induced me due to signs of infection. My contractions dilated me to 6-7 but then just stopped dilating me- but they were still intense in spurts. My docs didn't want to rush to deliver a preemie (trust me I didn't either) but my mind kept saying when is enough enough in terms of pain- I already had steriod shots and mag for baby's neuro development. I hope your baby is delivered soon without any complications and you can rest. It's so hard.
All the hugs htuzzi324!! And all the naps and snacks, too. I kind of hate your OB on your behalf right now. I mean, you might not have a 2 hour labor (ahem, I mean in addition to the WEEK of contractions you've already gone through). As someone who went more than 36 hours without food during my induction/labor/c section with DS, I can say with confidence that ice chips and popsicles are NOT ENOUGH. And you can't even have those? Just... no.
Really hoping the latest round of contractions is a sign that you're close to delivery!
I've done nothing today but eat and sleep. And I'm totally ok with that. I'm having contractions still but not as intense. Apparently there is concern about baby's lung development because white male babies of diabetic mothers sometimes have issues breathing at first.
Never mind the fact that obviously this baby wants out. I think my body is taking a break. I feel so gross, like weak and miserable. I have pretty much no energy at this point.
You totally deserve all the good and sleep right now! Hoping your douche of a doctor delivers this baby soon! I know you're worn out Hun but you getting closer. Tell your hubby that I said you deserve one hell of a push present though!

htuzzi324, I just want to bitch slap a few people for you and then let you eat snacks and have a foot rub to put you to sleep. You're doing awesome -- sending peaceful thoughts and some prayers your way.
I need to start checking these boards three times a day. When does all this happen?! htuzzi324, I'm so sorry you're going through this! When you reach your limit, don't be afraid to tell your doctor. Being hungry and tired is good for no baby. T&P your way!
